The Hylas brand is synonymous with quality, performance, functionality, and value. We are delighted to introduce our newest blue-water sailing vessel. From world-class designer Bill Dixon, the Hylas H57 is a perfect blend of classic Hylas, contemporary good looks, and embracing the latest technology in construction and design. Twin helms and rudders for improved performance, a lighter weight cored hull for improved strength and insulation plus the Solent rig for ease of handling mark a new era in Hylas designs. With a 3 or 4 cabin layout, this yacht will meet the needs of liveaboard couples or those planning extended cruises with friends and family. Primarily designed to be handled easily by a couple and fit the modern cruising lifestyle, this exciting new development stays true to the Hylas core competence of safely crossing oceans in comfort and style.
The Hylas H57 will impress discerning yachtsmen and women. The flowing lines of the latest hydrodynamic hull design offer comfort and speed during trans ocean passages. The fin keel ensures leeway (Side slip) is reduced and stiffens the yacht allowing her to carry the sail area this tall rig allows (Air draft 83’8”). The spade twin rudders optimize upwind sailing angles and provide the best traction when heeled. The wrap-around window, oversized portlights, and a full 17′ beam that carries well aft create a Superyacht sense of space and comfort.
With a three or four-cabin arrangement Hylas H57 offers great versatility and an ability to cruise with additional family, friends, or professional crew. Customization is an important part of the Hylas value proposition. There is always a willingness to work closely with clients in creating an interior that reflects personal tastes. Dixon has worked hard to ensure the Hybrid cockpit with aft helm stations does not impact headroom in the standing areas of the master stateroom.

Hull Construction
The hull of the Hylas H57 is constructed utilizing e-glass fiberglass laminates with an Airex closed cell foam core vacuum infused with a precise resin-to-fiber ratio to produce a hull with superior strength, stiffness, and performance.
Custom hull paint, cove stripe, and boot stripe available as an option.
Keel
Transom
Hydraulic automated swim platform and deck wings available as an option.
Rudder and Steering
The deck of the Hylas H57 is constructed of hand-laid e-glass fiberglass laminate, Airex closed cell foam core and vinyl-ester resins. There are reinforce carbon structural elements incorporated into the deck for additional strength and stiffness. In areas of high stress, such as around the mast, at the base of the winches, deck hardware, and anywhere deck fittings penetrate the deck, the core is replaced with solid single skin laminate. The deck is finished with white isophthalic gelcoat.
The hull to deck joint is constructed with a substantial inboard recessed flange reinforced with solid multiaxial fiberglass laminate chemically bonded with a high performance 5200 adhesive and then further laminated over the inner and outer skin to form a single monolithic structure.
Options include custom pulpit and pushpit railing extensions to the midship gate and first bow stanchion, integrated quarter and bow seats, and Simpson S300 Series 10 stainless steel davits.
Helm Stations and Center Cockpit
The Hylas H57 has a Center Cockpit with twin helm stations and a separate center cockpit lounge. This provides a relaxing and comfortable seating area for guests separate from the working area for the helmsman. All lines and sail controls are within close proximity to the helms for easy short-handed sailing. This layout also maximizes deck space and provides walk-thru access to the aft deck and swim platform.
Options include Carbonautic composite and Jefa stainless steel wheels, custom carbon-reinforced arch and integrated hardtop with retractable awning, wrap around spray shield, and a variety of custom bimini and dodger options.
Hatches and Deck Lockers
Winches
Custom winch packages and configurations available.
Ground Tackle and Mooring
The Hylas H57 has a Solent rigged Seldén aluminum two-spreader mast with a hydraulically operated in-mast mainsail furling system, Seldén boom, and push-button mainsail furling controls at the helm.
Mast and boom options include Seldén hydraulic boom outhaul, carbon fiber Seldén two-spreader mast and Carbon Valley boom, LeisureFurl hydraulic in-boom furling, and Schaefer Gamma in-boom furling. Also available with BSI Navtec R505 Nitronic solid rod rigging.

Running Rigging and Deck Hardware
The Hylas H57 can be configured with either a traditional mainsheet or German mainsheet arrangement. The traditional end-boom 2:1 mainsheet arrangement comes as standard equipment and includes an electric Antal XT 66 two-speed electric mainsheet winch mounted between the two helm stations on a fiberglass pedestal with Harken blocks and tackle. The optional German mainsheet arrangement utilizes the two electric Antal XT 66 two-speed electric primary winches, eliminating the need for the mainsheet winch and central pedestal which opens up the cockpit.
Sails by North Sails
The Hylas H57 base model is equipped with high-quality North Sails NPL Tour Xi sails designed for offshore and global sailing. North Sails Xi Cruise laminates feature black aramid warp yarns and North Sail's exclusive eXact x-scrim reinforcement, sandwiched between thin layers of polyester taffeta.
