Here's an exercise. Dinghy up to anchored catamarans in the middle of some outlying lagoon... Ask every owner for the amount of time the boat has been voyaging and then ask for their engine hours.

Aside from the (probably cool) folks living off the sea in a plywood multi-hull with homemade sails you're going to find (2) camps. The first will be "performance cats". They'll have "X" amount of hours on their Hobbs Meter. The second will be "cruising cats" . (Most likely they'll have "2X" hours on their dials.) Now divide by the voyaging time, preferably in years. One of the two will be shown to have run their engines quite a bit more per year. Why? Because a performance catamaran can head upwind higher and move faster and closer to the wind speed minimizing the use of the engine. The cruising cat less so and requiring the motors to come on.

Your carbon footprint will be the shadow your carbon fiber catamaran leaves on sandy ocean floor as you silently blow by the fleet.

Go ahead. Order a green colored spinnaker. And, feel good about it.

What? Not the poster image of a high performance sailor? You didn't just come off an America's Cup Contender? Care free, flowing hair, and Oakley Sunglasses? Isn't this a performance cat sailor? Maybe. But they're along for the ride. If you let them. You're the one who makes it happen. (They do have cool jackets though.)

We train you how to best optimize your experience. From monohull or cruising cat, or perhaps even something else, we bring you up to speed with our specialized training program. Not that it's complicated, we just show you how to best use the goodies that make the boat fast.

The HH 55 is a Morrelli & Melvin designed Carbon Fiber Hudson Yacht Group constructed Performance Cruising Catamaran. It has carbon fiber daggerboards with line drivers to raise and lower them. The traveller is also controlled by a line driver push button operated from the helm. The winches are electric. Everything is push button, And everything has a manual override. All lines can be lead aft to the helm(s) if you wish. There is a windlass and a chain counter. You can safely reach the mainsail to fold it. You can have four forward sails, all on furlers. All the hardware alludes quality. The boat has been very well thought out. Attention to all the details are evident.

You can get a forward steering station or twin aft steering stations. Everything on the boat was chosen because it performs and is built in the best manner possible.

The boats we've been on have achieved 24 knots and in the more common scenario of lower wind and flat days the boat moves at 8-10 knots in 9 knots of wind.  Great for summer sailing in the Med or New England.

It's one of the few catamarans that has the interior joinery you'd expect in a high-end cruising monohull. This is achieved through careful use of real wood trim and ultra-light panels with real wood veneer. You chose what you like.

Down below the berths can be sat on to take off your shoes. Providing, that is, you let people wear shoes inside. What this means is that the berths aren't 4 feet up in the air. The aft berths are about queen size and the forward berths are about full size (slightly larger in both examples).

The salon is of your making. Escape from the oh so typical U-Shape settee. Inquire for examples.

The galley can be setup for the most finicky of chefs with great counter space, storage, refrigerators and freezers. We can put 1.5 to 2kw of solar on the salon roof. You can keep you davits free for the dinghy and water toys.

We can set up the boat for Scuba diving including a compressor. There's a spot for spare rudders. There's a spot for bicycles. And there are spots for your guests.

Typically the sails have been North 3DI Endurance or Doyle Stratis.  There are others too. I have my favorite. Ask why.

The engines push the boat easily at 9 knots. You can go faster but you burn more fuel.

Yes, you can have a washer/dryer combination unit, an ice maker, water maker, air conditioners, and a generator and still see the fleet disappear over the horizon behind you.
