The Solaris 50 was a benchmark yacht, introduced to the market in 2006. The Solaris 50 was developed using the best of the 48, but with evolutionary new design ideas and using modern technology.

For Solaris the 50 represents a leap forward for the brand, whilst retaining the DNA of Solaris in terms of quality, sea keeping and performance.

Features available on the Solaris 50 include functional distribution of deck gear, with only 4 winches positioned by the twin wheels, to allow total control from the helm. Also a self-tacking jib, foldaway sprayhood, integrated bowsprit to make the use of a gennaker or Code 0 possible. In addition, the sail locker is generous in size, allowing for the option of a crew berth if required.

Other features include a guest toilet with separate shower stall, and a wet locker that drains into the shower bilge. There is also a large tender garage with a wide transom door enabling the deployment of the dinghy without rotating it. There is also a dedicated liferaft pod. Internally, there is a generous galley with large refrigeration and a choice of options for the navigation station.
