Description
2017 Bruce Roberts 54’ Centre Cockpit Ketch — “Juno”
Launched 2019 | Rig Installed 2024 | Turnkey Bluewater Cruiser
Juno is a 54’ Bruce Roberts Center Cockpit ketch in like-new condition. She has a stunning interior down below, two large staterooms, two heads with showers, a well-fitted galley and more storage than any comparable vessel.
Built in Seattle from an acquired hull by a cabinet maker and serial yacht-builder (ABYC Member with Electrical, Marine Diesel and Corrosion Certificates), she was launched in 2019, and Bob Perry was commissioned to design the rig. Then health issues forced her sale, and she was used as a floating motorhome in Puget Sound for three years. Current owners purchased her in 2022, moved her to Vancouver and ordered the rig from France which was duly installed in 2024. Measurements were taken and the sails were ordered and bent on also in 2024. The Bimini was completed in 2025, the auto pilot installed, and she is now ready to sail.
Juno has a great layout on deck and below. Wide side decks with outboard mounted chain plates and 29” high lifelines, seats in the aft corners for comfortable cruising and a stunning dolphin watching perch on the pulpit. The forward hatch is cavernous and holds the chain and rode as well as all the extra sails. It is watertight to the forward cabin and has its own bilge pump. The aft lazarette is also very big and holds extra anchors, chain and rode, the dive bottles, fenders, lines and it also houses the Webasto diesel space and hot water heater.
Within the (removable) Bimini there is the fully cushioned cockpit with the Edison Steering Pedestal which holds all the vessel controls like engine, windlass, bow thruster, autopilot remote and B&G readouts.
Going below through the vertical sliding door and overhead turtle, down three easy no-hands steps take you into a large well-lit salon with an L-shaped dinette to port and the Navigation Station to starboard, along with 5 full size drawers for storage.
Going forward there is a sea berth with storage, lights and a fan to starboard and the forward head to port. This has a big mirror, a handbasin, an electric flush toilet, a full-size shower stall and a washer dryer. There is also lots of storage space. All areas have hot and cold pressure water. Further forward is an enormous, fully cushioned V-berth, queen size to port and full size to starboard, masses of storage below and overhead, lights, a fan and an overhead hatch.
Going aft from the salon takes you into the well laid-out galley with lots of storage in cubbies and cabinets, a large deep stainless-steel sink, stone countertop, three burner Force Ten gimballed stove with oven including radiant grill. Then there is a vertical fridge freezer which runs off 110 or 12V, which has several racks and pull-out storage trays.
Then there is a breezeway which has a wash hand basin and medicine cabinet with mirror, with a door to forward where the electric aft-head and shower are located, again with a lot of storage.
The aft stateroom is gorgeous with a walk-around queen side bed, two hanging lockers and twelve drawers for storage. There are bookshelves and storage cubbies and an overhead hatch with a ladder for private access.
The engine room is accessed from the Galley or the salon, both concealed by doors. There is a small workbench with a vice for convenience to port, where the fuel polishing and distribution system is housed. The 110 HP Yanmar diesel engine has 180 hours on it and all areas of it are easily accessible.
Juno is a rare opportunity to own a custom-built, ocean-ready ketch with elegant finishes, exceptional systems access, and all the amenities needed for long-term cruising or full-time living aboard. With her new rig and sails, fresh upgrades, and bluewater capability, she is truly ready to set sail.
