This is an incredible like-new yacht-fisher by veteran yacht builder Forbes Cooper, built in British Columbia, Canada.
This one-owner custom yacht presents a rare opportunity; this is first time she has been on the market since new. High performance, robust construction, luxurious tri-cabin living, and supreme fishability make this one as rare as they come. This is a perfect blend of luxury, sport-fishing, and cruising yacht all in one stunning package. Thoughtful design and top-quality fit & finish are evident from stem to stern.
She has been shed kept since new, carefully maintained and lightly used. Only 475 original hours on her 715hp Cummins QSM-11M engines with all scheduled & routine maintenance completed. New house batteries installed in 2021.
You would be hard pressed to find another 64' yacht with as much space inside and out. 6'11" headroom throughout the living quarters, full height walk-around engine room and 16'10" beam give the feeling you're on a much larger yacht.
When family & friends are aboard they'll enjoy comfort and privacy in her two guest staterooms. Forward VIP stateroom boasts a walk-around queen sized bed, and both guest staterooms feature their own three piece heads with separate showers.
Full-beam master suite below aft features a king size bed, cedar lined walk-in closet, gorgeous ensuite with his & hers sinks, and separate shower.
Her contemporary styled galley and salon have excellent visibility from wrap around bedded glass windows, and she features a dining nook suitable for up to 6. Galley suite with Sub-Zero fridge & freezer, separate beverage fridge, convection oven, and undercounter dishwasher. Salon features a hide-a-way flat-screen TV, built in shelving & storage, and comfortable settee appointed with supple leather upholstery that's like new.
She is totally manageable for solo or two person cruising. Simple, well optioned helm forward with 360 degree visibility plus port and starboard aft controls on California deck both equipped with thruster controls make docking or handling this yacht in close quarters a breeze.
Her engine room is arguably the roomiest in her class giving ease of access to anything requiring service and maintenance. She is equipped with an Onan 21kW genset, Magnum inverter, reverso oil change system, 800 GPD water-maker, and Naiad Dynamics ship-roll stabilizer system.
The Westcoast Custom Yachts brand is famous for performance and sea-keeping and this one is no exception. Cruise speeds on step from 13.5 - 20kts, or sip 2.8GPH at 6.5kts if there's no rush. At WOT she is a rocket at 25kts.
Available now, and located in the Madeira Park area on the Sunshine Coast. Showings by appointment only.
The following are excerpts from her cover story article in Pacific Yachting magazine:
"Over the years, Cooper has built a reputation on producing sturdy, no-frills yachts for West Coast waters. Forbes isn't just a builder but a cruiser too. He and his wife Helen spend 60 to 70 days each year piloting the very boats he builds, providing the ultimate test of every structural and mechanical component-demonstrating what works and what doesn't."
"Big" and "sleek" are the two words that immediately come to mind when you see the Westcoast 64. Every area of the boat is super-sized, from the aft cockpit to the massive engine room and from the California deck to the salon. Unlike most express cruisers, there is plenty of accommodation, with six feet eleven inches of headroom throughout, a full galley and three legitimate staterooms - each with a separate three piece ensuite. Combine these features with a speed of 25 knots, and you can add "fast" to the theme too."
"The 64 has two cockpits, a lower one at the stern and a raised one, called a California deck, aft of the salon. Both are easily large enough to entertain a couple dozen people."
"Like the outside decks the salon is palatial, with room to entertain a few dozen guests. Headroom throughout the entire interior is 6'11" which is impressive. Bonded glass windows surrounding the saloon provide excellent visibility and natural light. The layout is wide open with no bulkheads or shelving to break up the space."
"At 1,500 rpm we were making 13.7 knots while burning 19.5 combined gallons per hour. At 1,800 rpm the turbochargers kicked in and our speed came up to 17.2 knots while burning 28.8 gallons per hour. At 2,000 rpm we were making 20 knots while burning 36.8 gah and wide open throttle, 2,530 rpm, our speed climbed to 25.5 knots while burning 64 gallons per hour with a 79% load on the engines. While that's a lot of fuel to burn, for a vessel this size at these speeds the fuel efficiency is actually quite outstanding."
