Gin & Tonic is a 2010 Moody 62 Deck Saloon listed for sale in Sydney with YOTI.
This is the only Moody 62DS in Australia and the only example offered for sale worldwide. The 62 built on the success of the 45 and 54 Deck Saloons. Designed by Bill Dixon, the brief was to create a luxury ocean crossing cruising yacht, easily sailed by one or two with single level cockpit to saloon living.
This is a Bluewater passage maker which is equally suited to simple day sailing. The layout consists of three double cabins plus a crew cabin with four heads and showers in total. The owner's cabin is forward and is stunning with a slightly offset island berth, massive storage capacity and a very large head and shower. The VIP guest cabin is to port with private ensuite, and the third guest double cabin has twin berths and another head and shower which can double as the day head. The crew cabin is accessed via the cockpit and would keep any teenager grinning or simply doubles as a very useable storage cabin.
Opposite this is another large storage space and workshop. The saloon offers 360-degree views through large windows all at the same level as the cockpit. The galley is sunken and is within passing distance of the cockpit. There is a dedicated control centre / nav or work station and the main saloon area is a luxuriously comfortable and practical space. The transom door electrically lowers to reveal another huge storage area or dinghy garage. There are also impressively engineered stainless steel davits.
Gin & Tonic has enjoyed a large refit mainly in 2021 including Total hull repaint; New Mainsail, Code 0 and self-tacking headsail; New Raymarine touch screen electronics at both external and internal helms (3 helm stations) including autopilot and radar; New wiring, lighting, inverters, plumbing, tapware and accessories; New mattresses, carpet and interior fittings; New rope clutches, halyards and sheets, Carbon steering wheels; New bilge pumps, water pumps and an extra fuel tank added; New full windscreen blockout cover; Teak decks fully renewed; Both bow and stern thrusters removed and motors replaced; Anchor winch removed and rebuilt; Twin electric furlers moved and motors replaced; Electric sheet winches removed and serviced; Deck hatches replaced or removed and refitted.
Just some of the substantial inventory includes generator, air-conditioning, centre console dinghy / tender and additional fuel and water tanks.
