"The Robinhood 36 combines the best of traditional design with the best of modern construction and layout. Classic in the sense of full keel design and great seakeeping ability. Modern in its spars, systems and accommodations, the Robinhood line incorporates all of these features in a fine cruising yacht. The Robinhood 36 is a cutter-rigged, Bluewater cruiser. The deck is cored for lightweight strength and the toe-rails, rub-rails, bowsprit and coamings are fashioned from solid teak for a timeless look. The 36's full keel underbody features a cutaway forefoot for easy maneuvering and a keel-attached rudder for ultimate strength. Moderate draft, the sure-footed tracking of a long keel, and all-weather sea kindliness are additional aspects of the "go anywhere" hull form. Harken hardware is used for all running rigging and controls while Robinhood's own Spartan brand bronze hardware is used for deck cleats, chocks, stanchion bases and port lights. The four Harken self-tailing winches are bronze to mirror the classic aesthetics, but deliver modern efficiency through the use of more bearings. The moderate aspect ratio cutter rig is by nature easily handled. Combine this rig with Harken Jib Reefing and Furling, ball bearing blocks, and a recirculating ball bearing traveller and the result is a 36-footer that two can sail effortlessly for long distances. Her highly detailed interior joinery is executed in the finest Maine tradition. Robinhood Marine has built custom and semi-custom yachts for over 30 years. The boat-building division is a part of the yacht service yard and waterfront marina facility which enables the full outfitting, equipping, and sea trials for each Robinhood 36 to be completed by the builder." ~ Manufactures Description
