1 . CONSTRUCTION
HULL NUMBER - Oyster 82/01.
HULL CONSTRUCTION - Laid-up GRP, single skin with structural stringers and floors to Lloyd’s approved design specification.
The gelcoat is a special Isophthalic resin, and the outer laminates incorporate a Vinylester resin and powder-bound mats.
HULL FINISH - ‘Metallic Blue’ hull with Awlgrip ‘Clear’ coat, plus ‘Metallic Silver’ cove line and double boot top lines.
DECK CONSTRUCTION - Moulded in GRP with balsa core.
In load-bearing areas the core is replaced with plywood for additional strength, and all load-bearing fittings have aluminium backing plates.
DECK FINISH - Teak laid decks.
The deck edge incorporates a bulwark, which facilitates relatively flat side decks whilst providing a good foothold when working the yacht in a seaway. The top of this bulwark is capped in varnished teak, enhancing the yacht’s visual appearance with a graceful sheer line.
Deck saloon styling incorporates an ‘eyebrow’ effect with modern angular windows.
The top is painted with non-skid deck paint.
KEEL - High performance bulb (HPB) external lead keel.
RUDDER - Fully protected skeg-hung rudder.
STERN DESIGN - ‘Sugar scoop’ stern design with bathing platform trimmed with teak slats and stainless steel steps for access to the stern deck.
A hinged GRP gate through the transom makes for easy access directly onto the bathing platform.

EURCD - Built to comply with the requirements for Category A – Ocean.
CHARTER CODING - Constructed to exceed MCA Code 0 (Unlimited), however, this would require an extensive medical kit and 200% life raft capacity in order to comply.
Currently, the vessel conforms to MCA Category 2 coding, which allows her to carry 12 charter guests up to 60 miles from a safe haven. With a simple upgrade to her medical equipment, and life raft capacity, she could charter to Code 0.
Uniquely, this vessel also conforms to the much higher MCA Class VI Passenger Vessel requirements.

Both cockpits have a clear central walkway giving excellent access from the companionway to the helm position and side decks. Side decks are accessed by steps down from the central portion of the cockpit.
The guest cockpit is over 3m long and is self-draining. It features two cockpit tables, plus has four screens above the companionway that display navigational information.
The helmsman’s cockpit has twin custom GRP steering pedestals each fitted with two flush-mounted navigation displays, and incorporates all the controls and instrumentation. Custom made protected engine panel.
Helm seats have stainless steel backrests with padded cushioning.
Incorporated into the cockpit is a pair of generously sized lockers on either side, which can be used for stowage.
Custom built archway above centre cockpit with integrated lights, and custom carbon framed windscreen to protect the main companionway. The canvas sprayhood/bimini can be fitted between the screen and arch, hence providing excellent shelter as well as sun protection.
Pair of waterproof loud speakers mounted within the coamings either side of the guest cockpit.

COCKPIT TABLE - Two large gloss varnished teak-topped cockpit tables, each mounted on strong stainless steel frames, incorporating fore and aft foot bars. One has the insulated GRP box fitted out as a drinks refrigerator, cooled via a Frigomatic refrigeration unit, whilst the other is a cool box. These are permanently installed and have fold-down leaves with a linking centre section.
STEERING - Twin custom remote GRP steering pedestals, each incorporating a 1.2m (47”) diameter Destroyer type stainless steel wheel.
Leather covers to steering wheels that extend to partially cover the spokes.
DAVITS - Atlas custom clear-coated carbon rotating davit with remote controlled electric winch for dinghy launch and recovery. This can be operated on either the port or

4 . INTERIOR
GENERAL - Ten berths in five cabins, plus an additional sofa berth in Owner’s stateroom. A further three guests can be accommodated using Pullman berths in the starboard guest and Skipper’s cabins, plus a pipe cot berth in the fo’c’s’le.
All sea berths have fitted lee screens in soft Sombrero canvas with lanyards to through-bolted eyes. Double berths have split mattresses allowing a central lee cloth to provide the necessary support and separation.
Interior joinery finished in maple.
Designed to be modern and coordinated, whilst remaining practical and durable at sea. Essential features include sculpted fiddles and grab rails, ‘shadow-gap’ joints between joinery panels, solid shaped maple and stainless steel grab handles, and Oyster custom knobs for lockers and drawers.
Solid ‘framed’ doors with black inlaid border. Door furniture with chrome hinges and handles. All drawers use metal runners, which give extremely smooth operation.
Lockers are fitted with shelves and fiddles, as appropriate.
‘Chequerboard’ style satin varnished teak cabin sole throughout. Cabin soles overlaid with bound carpets in sleeping cabins. Non-slip oak effect protective covering in the main areas.
Galley countertops in ‘Green Stone’ Avonite with upstand surrounds.
Head compartments incorporate a ‘white’ washbasin set into a flat solid ‘Tuscan Rose‘ Avonite surface. Hansgrohe quality mixer taps and pressure-balanced showers are installed, together with matching towel rail, pair of toothbrush holders, soap dish, shower basket, and toilet roll holder.

Insulated freezer box, with small stainless steel strut fitted to support the lid, and fitted with baskets for food stowage. Cooled via twin Frigomatic 24V refrigeration units.
Both insulated boxes have evaporator plates to give two separate systems in each box, with the added security of redundancy in the event of one unit failing.

WATER FILTER - Dedicated tap/faucet at galley sink for drinking water, complete with charcoal filter system.
LOWER SALOON - Situated to starboard and opposite the galley, with L-shaped settee and pivoting, folding dining table that has stowage underneath. The table can comfortably accommodate four or five people. Lockers behind seat backs, and further stowage below seating.

NAVIGATION /CHART TABLE AREA -
Positioned in the upper level to starboard is the navigation area with forward facing chart table, and stainless steel swivelling navigator’s seat. The chart table, with stainless steel chafe strip, is customised around the flush-mounted electronics and navigational equipment. This is strategically sited and housed in a ‘Black’ suede effect fascia, positioned for optimum viewing.
A small stainless steel support stay is fitted to the chart table lid, and there is provision for stowage of half-folded Admiralty sized charts.
Stowage for navigational books and almanacs.

UPPER SALOON - Access to the high level/upper saloon from the cockpit is via a set of timber companionway steps, with timber and stainless steel handrails. This area has been modified, so the lower step extends around, making it safer and easier to access.
The upper saloon is extremely light and airy, with eight windows providing an almost panoramic view of the exterior.
Featuring a square, custom swivel and expanding table, and wraparound settee to port, with stowage beneath. The saloon table is a substantial piece of furniture with a shelved locker located in its base, and an expandable top, which creates a large dining table that accommodates up to eight guests for comfortable dining, with excellent views from the deck saloon windows. A tall teak director’s chair offers an additional guest seat.
ENGINE ROOM - Accessed from the aft passageway, the engine room is built of sound insulating plywood, and insulated with a composite of foam and high density polymer sound absorbing materials. It is also coated with an intumescent gelcoat, to meet MCA fire regulations, and sound insulation is covered with metallic backing.
All components are located so as to optimise access and service. Other access panels are fitted with rubber sealing strips to minimise noise and are secured by positive catches.
A heavy-duty air intake fan provides through-flow of air, which is drawn from the exterior.

7. TANKAGE AND PLUMBING
FUEL - 3,200 litres approximately (704 Imp gallons/845 US gallons) in two GRP tanks, both fitted with suction and return lines for main engine and generator.
Racor 75/900 and 1000 fuel filters and water separators - single for the generator and duplex for the main engine.
WATER - 2,500 litres approximately (550 Imp gallons/660 US gallons) in two GRP tanks.
TANK TENDER GAUGES - Tank tender contents gauge system.
Backup dipsticks with calibration chart.
HOT WATER - From two insulated approximately 93 litre (20 Imp gallons/25 US gallons) twincoil calorifier tanks heated by the engine’s heat exchanger, or by thermostatically controlled 220V, 2kW immersion heater elements powered by the generator or dockside power.
One tank serves the area forward of the engine room, and the other aft of the engine room, plus the added ability to be changed over by valves.
PRESSURISED HOT AND COLD WATER SYSTEM -
Hot and cold freshwater system is based on two Aqua Major AQM6 high capacity water pumps with pressure accumulator tank, plus polypropylene pipework and fittings.
Plumbed so that one feeds the forward accommodation and calorifier, and the other feeds the aft, then in the event of a failure one set can feed the whole vessel.
HOLDING TANKS - Two plastic toilet holding tanks with shut-off valves installed - one forward (to serve the forward two heads), and one aft (to server the aft three heads). These are plumbed for gravity discharge, with additional ability to pump out from deck.
