After returning from his 3rd Navy deployment, the seller purchased this beauty in Marina Del Rey in December of 2015. Soon after, named her after one of the his favorite movies and specifically the quote ‘Sometimes nothing can be a real cool hand.’
“I took the risk of renaming her, and I’m glad I did because she’s created a lot of great memories over the last 7 years and it will be more fun to remember her as Cool Hand.”
During a one year term as a liveaboard in San Diego on Harbor Island there were many amazing memories created making multiple trips to Catalina.
After receiving relocating orders too Pt. Mugu, in January of 2017 Cool Hand, along with crew of dad and brother, was sailed out to Catalina and then up to the Channel Islands and since, has called Ventura home. The memories didn’t stop there, continuing to sail between Ventura and the Channel Islands.
Recently, due to having to relocate, seller needs to pass her on to the next sailor and its hoping to have some one love her and carry on…
Newer Lazy Bag Mainsail set up. (very nice)
-Brand new house batteries (2 x 6V Gel) and starter battery (1 x 12V AGM) and a brand new AIMS inverter/charger were installed on October 3rd, 2022. Purchased from Batteries Plus in Ventura,
1 year warranty.
The original Raymarine chart plotter (C80) was removed in lieu of using an Ipad with Navionics.
The radar worked when disconnected and the autopilot is still installed. Will likely need a going through. The plan was to install a Ferruno First watch radar and get XM satellite weather however, considering the circumstances, a new owner may want a different set up, it’s been left it in a position for new owners to decide.
When the Chart plotter was removed, every wire behind the panel was checked and re-labeled.
Also, installed a clever and very practical pull out drawer Whynter AC/DC refrigerator.
She’ll need bottom paint.
A little about the boat and model, ask around and many experienced buyers will tell you that Jeanneau is a step above other boats in her class. The Sun Fast's interior is the same as the well known award winning Sun Odyssey 35, but has goodies like adjustable genoa cars, all lines leading aft. A cozy and comfortable salon with U-shaped dinette to starboard and settee with nav station to port; a well thought out head with separate shower recess immediately aft, an L-shaped galley to starboard. The saloon is bright, with the numerous windows, hatches and lighting. There is comfortable seating around the central table which can be easily lowered for use as a double berth. Clever design thought, on the aft end of the settee to port, where Jeanneau has provided a chart table on slides and a small bench seat at the aft end, allowing the navigator to decide if he or she wants to work facing forward or aft. This arrangement also allows the settee to be used as a single berth if required. Between the nav station and the bathroom is a large hanging locker, which will be handy for wet weather gear, etc. Large head has shower stall.
This boat should certainly be a solid candidate if you are looking for a boat in this class.
Due to the year, traditional financing should be available.
