CADENZA is a 2003 Raozinante, often described as the prettiest sailboat design ever.  L. Francis Herreshoff did the design, and Doug Hylan made some modifications, largely to move the mizzen aft of the cockpit to make a more functional layout.

This build (traditional plank on frame) is fantastic, by Rockport Marine.   This boat certainly has an impressive pedigree.  Cadenza is a true sweet-heart, and make you fall in love each time you sail her.

Her Yanmar diesel pushes her along nicely, but the wind does too - putting the diesel in the "convenience" category in most instances. 

Her exterior detailing is lovely.  Her interior is also lovely - albeit simple.  Two long bunks with cushions, and a counter top with some storage underneath.  If you like simple cruising, she is just right. Bring along a cooler, a bucket or port potty, a water supply, a lantern and a camp stove - what more does one need?

Available at a fraction of replacement cost, and needing nothing to go out for a day-sail or cruise tomorrow.  Her fair price reflects the expectation that a new owner will want to replace the sails and sail covers.  Everything else is fine, with just the need for annual cosmetics for the foreseeable future.
