2003 Beneteau First 211
Beneteau First 211 complete with RM road trailer, Yamaha 5hp 2 stroke outboard. Raced at club level this boat was dry sailed for many years until taking to moorings in 2016. The interior has routinely had the cushions, locker covers, battery etc removed to reduce weight and these have been kept in dry storage. This white hulled version of the popular First 211 has been a proven race winner at club level and features upgraded Harken traveller and deck gear as well as both racing sails by North Sails and additional cruising sails. Currently hank-on foresails fitted but a roller furling system is included in the sale.

Construction
Beneteau First 211 with white GRP hull, deck and superstructure. Cast iron swing keel (0.70m to 1.80m draft) operated by a worm screw mechanism from the saloon. Keel serviced annually. Tiller steering with twin transom-hung, adjustable height rudders. Teak topped cockpit seats and toe rail. Large self bailing cockpit with open transom and moulded non slip floor.
Mechanicals
Powered by a two stroke Yamaha 5hp engine on an adjustable height transom bracket. 1 x 12V gel battery with a 10V solar charger. 2 x 12V sockets
Rigging and Sails
Fractional rigged Bermudan Sloop with deck stepped alloy mast and spars and stainless wire standing rigging. The forestay is currently rigged for hank on sails but furling gear and foil are included in the sale. The boat is rigged for conventional spinnaker use including pole.
This boat has sails to suit either club racing or family cruising. The cruising sails have not been used for many years and are said to be in good condition. The laminate racing sails have been used for club racing on Windermere only and standing rigging has been serviced annually. Running rigging replaced in 2022.

Accommodation
The Beneteau First 211 is roomier than you might imagine and has accommodation fo rup to four. One double berth in bow and two single berths aft. Privacy curtains separate the forward berth from the saloon. Small galley area with white plastic sink to starboard with manual pumped water and a portable single burner gas hob with storage to port. A porta-potti stows beneath the V berth next to the battery installation.
For much of its life the boat has been stripped out with all interior fittings removed for safety when racing and kept in dry storage.
