SIRONA is an extremely light and fast global racing/cruising yacht, designed and engineered to be efficiently sailed by a couple or small family without crew, while serving up performance usually only achieved by the most sophisticated racing yachts – including a water ballast system that adds the equivalent of eight husky crewmembers sitting on the weather rail to add power and exceptional stability to the yacht. Her Park Avenue boom, automatic furling headsails and hydraulic winches provide effortless control of her extremely powerful sailplan. On deck, all sailhandling is managed from the aft cockpit, leaving the well protected center cockpit for dining and entertaining. The low profile raised pilothouse adjoins the cockpit as a single, contiguous entertaining area, with a large, raised settee and dining area outboard to port and full navigation station and bar area to starboard, all with 360 degree panoramic views to the horizon. The pilothouse is open to the lower salon and galley forward and below, under the large forward windows. SIRONA’s Owner stateroom, guest and crews quarters provide all amenities for gracious living aboard, in port or far at sea.
She has had extensive refits under her present ownership, leaving all systems in top condition and ready to voyage all oceans.
The Aft Cockpit is the operational heart of the vessel, with all controls at or within arm’s reach of the helm; all engine and furling controls, bow thrusters, hydraulics and all sail handling winches. This is the true enabler for the simplicity of sailhandling aboard SIRONA, such that she can truly be handled by a couple. Forward in the cockpit is the private Owner’s Stateroom companionway.
With all sailhandling from the aft cockpit, the Guest Cockpit, protected by the pilothouse and dodger, with a drop leaf table at center with seating all around, is reserved for dining, entertaining and lounging. Connected forward to the pilothouse area, this is truly the ‘social hub’ of the yacht.
The low-profile, raised pilothouse aboard SIRONA is the heart of the yacht, with a large ‘U’ shaped settee/dining area to port with unrestricted line of sight visibility to the horizon in all directions. There is a full navigation station to starboard with comprehensive performance, navigation, and communication equipment, plus a bar area with refrigerator outboard to starboard.
Forward and down several steps to starboard is the lower salon, with a U shaped settee area, entertainment equipment and a privacy curtain that allows this area to convert to an additional stateroom with queen berth. The gourmet Galley is across to port, with an abundance of counter and cabinet space, new stove, comprehensive refrigeration and freezer capacity. This entire area, port and starboard are below the large sloping windows of the pilothouse, providing a marvelously open ‘feel’.
Forward of the galley is the VIP Stateroom, with a double berth, plenty of stowage in drawers, lockers and hanging locker, opening hatch and full ensuite head and stall shower.
Fully forward the Crew or Second Guest Stateroom has twin bunks, over and under, drawer and locker stowage and a private head with shower.
Aft of the Pilothouse, down several steps to starboard, the Owner’s Stateroom is full width of the yacht with a large double berth to port, couch and office area to starboard, private access to the aft cockpit and a full ensuite head with stall shower.
The low-profile, raised pilothouse aboard SIRONA is the heart of the yacht, with a large ‘U’ shaped settee/dining area to port with unrestricted line of sight visibility to the horizon in all directions. There is a full navigation station to starboard with comprehensive performance, navigational and communications equipment in an extremely comfortable office desk and leather seat, also with unrestricted visibility.
Forward and down several steps to starboard is the lower salon, with a U shaped settee area to centerline, entertainment equipment and a privacy curtain that allows this area to convert to an additional stateroom with queen berth. Whether set up in the settee configuration or as a queen berth with privacy curtain, this area is comfortable and exquisite, below the panoramic forward pilothouse windows.
The gourmet Galley is across to port, also with a marvelous open feeling from the windows above, with an abundance of counter, cabinet and drawer storage, Corian countertops with deep undermounted sinks, new stove and extensive front loading refrigeration and freezer capacity. The bar area, centerline aft, has been recently remodeled as well.
Forward of the galley is the VIP Stateroom, with a double berth with nightstand outboard to starboard with large drawers below and additional stowage in drawers, lockers and hanging locker. The private ensuite head and stall shower are immediately forward.
Fully forward the Crew or Second Guest Stateroom has over and under twin bunks, plenty drawer and locker stowage, hanging locker and a private head with shower that provides watertight door access to the sail locker forward.
