CONSTRUCTION
HULL NUMBER - Oyster 63/11.
HULL CONSTRUCTION - Laid-up GRP, single skin with structural stringers and floors to Lloyd’s approved design specification. Outer hull laminate in Vinylester resin. Basket weave Kevlar in hull from stem to aft end of keel below waterline. Non-structural core insulation above waterline from deck down.
HULL FINISH - ‘White’ hull with cove line and double boot top lines in standard Oyster ‘blue’ (repainted 2020).
DECK CONSTRUCTION - Moulded in GRP with balsa core.
DECK FINISH - Teak laid decks (sanded and re-seamed 2018). Varnished teak capping rail (re-varnished during winter improvement works 2020/21).
KEEL - Shoal keel.
RUDDER - Fully protected skeg-hung rudder.
STERN DESIGN - ‘Sugar scoop’ stern design with bathing platform finished in laid teak and stainless steel steps for access to the stern deck.
EURCD - Built to comply with the requirements for Category A – Ocean.
DECK LAYOUT AND EQUIPMENT
ANCHOR - 110lb stainless steel Bruce main anchor (storm size) plus 260’ of 1/2” stainless steel chain with 70’ of 1” rode at end. 90lb two-piece Bruce backup anchor. 65lb Fortress backup anchor. Secondary anchor rode with chain lead and 1” yacht braid for use with backup anchors.
WINDLASS - 2 x Maxwell 3500 anchor windlasses (winter improvement works 2020/21).
DECK ACCESS - Midship gateway stanchions. Gate to pushpit (stainless tubing added in place of wire rail 2018). Stainless steel bathing ladder.
HATCHES - Oyster custom drop-down acrylic washboard system with pull-up bug screen for main companionway. Lewmar alloy-framed deck hatches. Gebo alloy-framed coaming portlights, all portholes MCA compliant with deadlights for each. Gebo opening hullports.
CANVASWORK - Fold down companionway sprayhood in Sunbrella ‘Cream’ with zippered front roll-up window, and stainless steel grab rail to aft end. Bimini with fixed stainless steel framework and internal tensioning system. Handhold integrated into bimini framework. Side and stern shades for bimini. Covers for cockpit table. Cockpit cushions.
DECK PLUMBING - Hot and cold freshwater deck shower on swim platform. Anchor/deck wash with 75 PSI deck jet deck wash pump with control at steering pedestal. Freshwater deck wash outlet in step to cockpit.
COCKPIT - Walk-through teak-laid cockpit.
COCKPIT TABLE - Varnished cockpit table with stainless steel frame, folding leaves.
STEERING - Integrated fibreglass steering pedestals. Whitlock destroyer-type wheels with grey suede leather covers.
DAVITS - Whittall ED18 davits for 220kg maximum load.

SPINNAKER GEAR - Aluminium spinnaker pole stowed vertically on mast (repainted ‘white’ in 2019). Package includes chainplates, deck fittings, halyard, topping lift, pole lift, single sheet, guy, fore guy, and all required blocks. Two spinnaker halyards with parking for shackle on dorade guards. Deck stand-up blocks.

FORWARD SAIL LOCKER - Large sail locker allows for easy storage and quick deployment of spinnaker. Storage for spare lines and halyards as well as two spare anchors and sea anchor with appropriate line.
OWNER’S STATEROOM - Configured with a walk around centreline Queen size bed. Two large hanging lockers, abundant drawer storage under berth. Full-length bevelled edge mirror. Opening hull ports and Lewmar overhead hatches with Oceanair blinds and screens.
EN SUITE HEAD/SHOWER - Forward of master with Sealand Vacuflush toilet, washbasin, and separate shower stall. Opening overhead hatch.
SALOON - Featuring a large C-shaped settee to starboard surrounding an expandable teak table. Storage within table pedestal. Small locker to port. Large locker to starboard. Additional seating to port. Ice maker.
NAVIGATION AREA - To starboard of saloon with desk that features a flip-up section. Swivel chair on rotating pedestal. Stowage for navigational books and almanacs. Bookshelf for ship’s manuals. Electrical service panel located aft within easy reach along with battery isolation breakers. Instruments: VHF radio, multifunction display, printer, CD/stereo system, Wema gauges, and Webasto control.
RAISED PILOT SALOON - Featuring a C-shaped settee with teak lunch table and opposing navigation station. Instruments: two Garmin multifunction displays, Garmin chart plotter, autopilot controller, tacho and combined fuel flow gauge and fuel monitor, engine Morse control.
ENGINE ROOM - The engine room is located under the pilot saloon floor and accessed via a door from the lower navigation area. It is built of sound insulating foam and barrier insulation. 24V lighting and extractor fans. Tool storage and sit-down butcher board work bench with vice, and cooling fan.
GALLEY - Spacious rectangular galley layout aft of the saloon to port, open to the saloon for ease of entertaining. Extensive worktop space, plentiful storage lockers and large rubbish bin. Stowage for crockery and cutlery. Full-length pantry with four easy slide-out drawers, including a vented vegetable drawer at the bottom, all with plush locks for security at sea. PRESSURISED HOT AND COLD WATER SYSTEM - Two 45 PSI electric water pumps in parallel with isolating valves. Charcoal water filter.
HOLDING TANKS - Two stainless toilet holding tanks – one forward and one aft with gravity discharge and additional ability to pump out from on deck. Wema tank gauges.
MANIFOLD SYSTEM - Stainless steel manifold for seawater inlets to reduce through-hull fittings.
ELECTRICS
SHIP’S SUPPLY - 12V and 24V.
RING MAIN - 110V AC ring main with outlet sockets located as appropriate within the layout.
OTHER ELECTRICAL SOCKETS - 24V sockets at starboard pedestal and in forward sail locker.
BATTERIES - Domestic: Four 6V Rolls Surrette batteries supplying 820Ah at 24V. Engine start: 24V (new 2019). Generator start: 12V (new 2020).
BATTERY MANAGEMENT - Two Mastervolt MASS 24V/100A chargers with temperature sensors. Mastervolt battery monitor. Regulators. Emergency link.
INVERTER - Mastervolt 110V/6000W inverter to power all sockets, microwave, and watermaker. Dedicated inverter for ice maker.
SHORE POWER - 50A dockside power cable. Hubbell socket behind transom seat. Isolation transformer. European shore power capacity.
INTERIOR LIGHTING - Downlight type halogen lights in polished chrome finish with downlighters over reading areas. Fluorescent lights and downlights in each heads, as well as over the galley work surfaces. Reading light for each berth. Automatic light to fridge. Red ‘courtesy’ footlights at deck saloon steps.
