Aldebaran is a very well-maintained Gozzard 31 including monthly topside washings and bottom cleaning. Tank Tender
Aldebaran has the innovative Gozzard open layout. The interior is in rich satin-finished American cherry joinery with many wood-framed and vented lockers, cabinets, and white overhead. The sole is teak and basswood. The upholstery is in a very durable blue Ultrasuede. The headroom is 6' 3".
The boat is well-lit and well-ventilated. There are nine stainless steel opening ports (all with curtains), two opening hatches, two cowl vents, and a 4" solar/12-volt shower ventilator. These are all equipped with screens.
- The forward compartment can serve as the main saloon by day, a dining area, and a private stateroom.
- Next aft to port is the galley.
- Across to starboard is the forward-facing navigation station.
- Just aft of the galley is the head.
- Aft to starboard is the aft cabin
- Separate screen doors and built-in overhead screen for companionway
- Engine access under companionway steps
Forward Saloon:
- Large full-width cedar line hanging lock forward.
- The "coffee table" top opens up to support a separate large dining table. The table top is stowed behind the settee backs.
- The pivoting settees join together to form a full-sized centerline double berth or two single berths.
- With the fold-up bulkhead and double-hinged door it can be converted to a private compartment.
- Additional features include three duplexes 110 AC GFCI outlets, 4 LED reading lights, a red/white dome light, and a 12-volt fan.
