Price Reduced for quick sale . A deal for this well cared for Offshore boat.
Up for sale is s/v Seraphim, this 1996 38’ Moody has got a stellar reputation for offshore cruising. The Moody is well known to experienced sailors for quality construction and sea worthiness. Constructed in the UK by Moody Yachts (A.H. Moody & Sons), there have been more than 4,500 Moody yachts delivered in the UK and worldwide.
s/v Seraphim was bought in the UK by the present owners. They spent a month getting ready for cruising and then headed out a month later to the Canals of France, then to the Mediterranean across the Atlantic and finally a couple of circles in the Caribbean. When Covid hit last year s/v Seraphim was stored on the hard here in the Rio Dulce, Guatemala and the owners went back to the UK. Recently the owners have been back to the Rio to refresh and maintain s/v Seraphim to get her ready for the next owners to take her cruising once again.
The Moody was beautifully designed with stunning wood work throughout and with real teak and holly floors. The aft cabin has a large walk around bed with extra seating and a hanging locker. There are 2 heads with showers. One head is located in the walk through to the galley, and the other is located in the forward cabin. The V berth is a good size with overhead storage cabinets. The galley has 2 stainless steel sinks, lots of counter space. There is also a Nelson 2 burner stove and grill with oven and a Weeco refrigerator/icebox with cooling plates and compressor. In the starboard walk through, there is a small berth for extra guests. The salon has plenty of seating on both port and starboard with a nice open feel.
s/v Seraphim is equipped with a Dacron in mast main furling, which is standard for Moody, and a Dacron furling genoa head sail, both are in good condition. There is also a spinnaker and a storm sail in good condition. She is powered by a Volvo PentaMD22Ldiesel engine with a Raymarine chart plotter, radar, and autopilot to help you navigate. She is also equipped with an elaborate stainless steel gautry frame for the solar panels. The cockpit is outfitted with a large sunshade for your comfort.
The owners have maintained the vessel and provided her with many recent upgrades. She has been outfitted with an Osmosea NiZ 255 water maker in 2019 that is solar run, 4 new T 105 batteries, new upholstery and much more.
Standing Rigging January 2022 The standing rigging was replaced first week of January and the mast was fully refurbished. New Genoa sheets and furling line..
If you are looking for a well outfitted, proven cruiser, then s/v Seraphim is a must see. This vessel is ready to go, bring your suitcase and head out. Everything works and the systems have been serviced and checked.
