Description
25 years ago Ferenc Màtè, author of the International Best-Seller, "The World's Best Sailboats Vol 1 & 2" was in search of a new boat. His final choices were a Hinckley or a Swan, but at a chance encounter in a remote BC cove, Màtè fell in love with the stunningly elegant, beautiful and fast 41 foot custom ketch that world-acclaimed naval architect Bruce King designed for himself. That boat, "Warm Rain II" is now available. For those wanting the very finest of craftsmanship. Be ready to turn heads and accept endless compliments with the most beautiful boat in any harbour. She is now back in the water after spending a cosy Winter in a heated shop where her Shipwright/Caretaker meticulously refinished the exterior brightwork and teak decks. The finished result is spectacular. Her cold molded hull of Port Orford Cedar was completed by Master Shipwright, Jim McClelland and is paired with the finest of finishing materials. Further interior refinements have been completed by the skilled crew at Jespersen Boat Builders. A 2020 survey reports: "This is an exceptional execution of a beautiful classic design from the board of a well known designer. The interior is well planned and cabinetry is of superb quality......the vessel does not show its age." A modern underbody (fin keel, spade rudder with skeg) provides for great performance with directional stability. Fitted with new Main and Genoa, "Warm Rain II" is ready for inspection by appointment only, please.

Accommodations and Interior
General Arrangement:
Forward there is a chain locker and V-Berth with bureau and hanging locker to starboard aft with a private head to port in the private fo'c'sle; Saloon with expansion settee/berth with shelves and cupboards outboard and galley to starboard aft; companionway to aft stateroom. The aft stateroom has a double berth starboard; navigation station and cupboards to port, vanity and head forward. The cockpit has long low coamings with bench seating and deep port and starboard lockers.
A lavish interior that has to be seen, much improved upon over the years by renowned crew at Jespersen Boat Builders. Noted on Jespersen's website: "She came to our yard for restyling of much of her interior. The woodwork comprised putting solid ash on the counters of the galley, settee areas, and chart table. A new fiddle akin to one used on the sister ship, "Mentor" was added and seven lift out raised panels were built as the seat backs in the settee area. The chart table was also modified in keeping with this theme. All trim and panels are of teak. On a second visit, a cockpit table of teak was built and secured to the mizzen mast. Also, two hatches were redesigned, incorporating bronze rimmed, round and oval deadlights." Beautiful cabinetry provides deluxe storage throughout. Dickinson propane 4 burner stove and oven, Grunert refrigeration / freezer. Sleeps 6 in style and comfort with her spacious aft stateroom and roomy V-berth, Nav station, two heads.
