Up for sale is s/v Respite, a 1992 39’ Beneteau Oceanis.  A French boat, the Oceanis line of sailboats is Beneteau’s range of long-distance blue water cruisers, with a reputation for being stable and comfortable at sea.

This particular vessel has been well cruised and also well maintained with all the necessities required to cruise. The gelcoat, sails and rigging are all in excellent condition, her owners have truly loved her.  s/v Respite was sailed extensively in the Pacific Northwest from her dock in Tacoma WA, many times to Canada, the Gulf Islands, the San Juan Islands and out the Straits of Juan de Fuca to the Pacific. In 2019 her owners also sailed through the Panama Canal into the Caribbean.  After spending time in the San Blas islands, she was taken up to the Rio Dulce by way of Columbia and Honduras.  Since then, she has been back and forth from Belize to the Rio Dulce.

s/v Respite has a very open, spacious feel on the interior with plenty of room for extra guests/crew.  She has a beautiful wood interior throughout with teak and holly floors.  In the galley she is equipped with a double sink and an inline water filtration system. There is an Eno Marine three burner stove with a 2-rack oven and a Frigaboat water cooled freezer. There are 2 separate cabins each with  access to a head and shower, one is located near the large vberth and the other is located just behind to a  the nav station. In the port aft, there is a huge full-size berth as well. Both cabins also have hanging lockers and shelving and the interior has LED lighting throughout.  Her cockpit is no less spacious and comfortable with an Iverson cockpit enclosure with side panels to keep you shaded and protected.

 Along with her 2015 Yanmar H 5J3 40 HP diesel, she has a Furuno chart plotter and radar, also with Raymarine autopilot and wind instruments all in working order.  There is a 10ft hard bottom dinghy covered with chaps for protection and a 2015 8 hp Mercury 4 stroke to help get you to shore. s/v Respite has all the capability to remain self-contained while offshore. She has 3 100-watt solar panels new in 2019, with new controls plus three spare controlls and an 800w inverter. There is also a Rainman water maker on board, and a D4000 wind generator new in 2020.

Some of her important upgrades include: the rigging replaced in 2015, bottom paint with new zincs in 2021, all new cushions and upholstery done in 2020, Kato dinghy davits and Kato wind generator tower in 2015 and for your safety the 6-man West Marine life raft was repacked in 2016.
