1988 Lien Hwa Hood 3812m

The Hood 38 which we offer you on behalf of the 2nd owner was built as One off in Thailand by Lien Hwa. The seller has owned the boat for about 25 years and the time has come for him to choose other destinations and therefore sell it. The Hood 38 is a very solid design and some refits have recently been carried out. The boat is equipped with a centerboard that is easy to operate with a winch under the spray hood. With the centerboard up, a large sailing area in shallow waters is possible. With the centerboard down, the draft is 3.00 meters and makes the boat very seaworthy. The hull itself is in good condition, but the teak deck needs some maintenance. For example, some parkers are visible and rubbers need to be replaced in places.

The interior is spacious and the centerboard is not a disturbing element in the saloon. Upon entering, on the port side is the galley with stove, oven and refrigeration. To starboard is the navigation area and a quarterberth. In the bow is the head with toilet, shower and sink. This space can be reached through two doors; from the side and from the front cabin. The bed has excellent mattresses. The salon upholstery is also in very good condition.

The 38 hp Perkins engine provides good propulsion and there is a bow thruster for easy maneuvering.
