Galley

Aft of the main salon is the galley. It is well equipped with an electric gimballed Induction stove with a S.S. safety bar and all Induction pots & pans are included. Under is a Breville convection oven. There is a top loading frig with freezer and 2 S.S. sinks

There is also a water foot pump in the galley which contributes to water saving when at anchor, in addition to a hot and cold fresh, pressure water spigot at the sink.

A unique trash handling system makes the galley neat and clean while providing a thirty-gallon storage capacity. The normal unsightly trash containers are replaced by an under counter container with counter top access.

The storage is generous with pot-and-pan top loading storage in the counter and more than enough space to store the plates and bowls, condiments, cooking and eating utensils, herbs and spices, and mixing bowls. There is a combination of eight storage cabinets and one drawer.

The refrigeration/freezer is top loading. Shelves and access afford a spacious fridge and freezer that has food and beverages easy to get at and has capacity to store sufficient food in the freezer for eight to ten days without replenishment from the sea or from markets. The evaporator/freezer is dual capacity and is driven by both an engine drive and a twelve-volt compressor that facilitates engine run time and 12-volt operation at anchor and also shore power operation and, in addition, provides redundancy in the event of a refrigeration failure.

There are two 110-volt outlets in the galley that are powered by shore power or the Vectron Interface inverter.

Under sink storage is more than sufficient for storage of cleaning materials, dishwashing soaps, large pot storage, plastic and aluminum foil selections and cleaning utensils.

The cabin sole is solid teak-and holly.

Both the port side and starboard side have cavernous behind-the-cushions storage, for food staples or boat parts. Above this storage, are additional cabinets and bookshelves. There is a TV and, AM/FM stereo with Bose speakers.

There are seven courtesy lights distributed through the cabins and head that provide pleasant indirect light and are particularly useful for overnight passages.

There are two large hanging lockers in the passageway forward of the main salon and outside of the head.

Both cabins are double-bed width with comfortable foot room and 6-inch foam mattress thickness providing very comfortable sleeping arrangements. Storage in the aft cabin includes: a plentiful hanging locker, a mirrored 5-drawer bureau, 3 under berth drawer storage as well as open shelving along the side.

The Forward Cabin

There is a locker with shelves and a louvered door, 3 drawers, a  small seat with storage under and 3 more drawers under the berth.

ELECTRONICS/NAVIGATION:

There is an aft-facing navigation station with excellent support for navigating or doing radar watches while in a seaway. The seat is comfortable and there is support for the navigator on three sides. The position of the instruments is ergonomically excellent.

The navigation station is an ideal watch standing position when the weather topsides is less than welcoming. There is also a port at the nav station to support communications with the helmsperson when making radar approaches to unfamiliar or fogbound harbors.

Manufacture Description

“At Tartan Yachts we have set out to excel in one task: to build for the discerning sailor, the best handmade sailing yachts in the world. The rich heritage of Tartan Yachts forms the cornerstone of our undertaking. Our expanded manufacturing facility contains all current materials and manufacturing technologies. Our fully integrated in-house design, engineering and tool making capabilities provide us with the resources to deliver a continuous stream of new and innovative designs and product improvements to the marketplace. Our most important asset is the resourceful people who design, build, service and sell our boats, many of whom have been doing so for over 20 years.

The purchase of one of our yachts is a milestone in our customers' lifetime, and should be an exciting and pleasurable experience.

The marketplace for Tartan Yachts is both mature and sophisticated. It demands sailboats that are thoughtfully designed, carefully built and are safe, fast and well mannered in performance. For over 35 years, Tartan Yachts have consistently built sailboats that have satisfied, and indeed defined these market demands. This tradition will continue because we know that only one thing is certain in this industry, we will be measured by the lasting value of our products.”

The Head

There is an aft Raritan head with teak toilet seat cover. A good sized molded in sink outboard, with mirror outboard and a large storage area under with louvered teak door. The mirror has a drop down bottom unit with 2-shelves behind. Aft of the toilet is a walk-in separate shower with hot and cold pressure water, teak shower grate and 2 roomy outboard lockers with louvered teak doors. A small hatch over the toilet provides fresh air.

The Forward Cabin

This has a full length (6 feet 6 inches) “V” berth. There are two storage cabinets, two shelves plus a hanging locker for clothes stowage. Additionally, there are two drawers in a bureau, plus a louvered door cabinet under the bureau. Under the berth is the holding tank, a water tank, and some additional storage.

Under the small settee at the head of the bunk is more stowage. There is a 2-part V-berth filler cushion.

The forward hatch is a newer huge 24 inch by 24 inch Lewmar that provides excellent air circulation.

In the hallway opposite the head, there is a tall louvered locker with multiple shelves.

Aft Quarterberth

A Captains cabin is starboard across from the galley with 2-opening ports, (one which gives access to the helmsman in the cockpit), and a dorade for great ventilation. There is a locker with shelves and a louvered door, 3 drawers, a small seat with storage under and 3 more drawers under the berth.
