The Pearson 40 is an iconic cruiser-racer. The current owner has owned the boat for 15 years and has enjoyed the sailing performance as well as the comfortable amenities down below. The flush deck hearkens back to a previous era, giving great visibility and making movement around the deck easy and safe. The cockpit is safe and cozy for offshore sailing and oversized winches make sail handling a 'breeze'.
The CENTERBOARD allows the best of both worlds - gunkholing when you're cruising and pointing like a champion when you want to go places and the centerboard is down. Draft is 4'6" with board up.

Bluefields shows well below decks, and a new coat of paint on the pedestal as well as newly varnished cockpit brightwork have spruced up the exterior. She is priced to sell and would be a great platform for a family or someone who wants to get into some sporty sailing.. in comfort.
The companionway takes you into a large interior with remarkable headroom and comfortable accommodations. The mahogany veneer on bulkheads and cabinetry and the ash slats on the hull sides, along with the teak and holly floors, create a traditional feel to the interior.
The galley is to starboard and has a good work area and phenomenal storage. White formica countertops and cabinet fronts make it light and easy to clean.
To port is a comfortable, forward-facing nav station with large chart table. Behind it is a quarterberth which is a double. Forward, of the nav station, separated by a partial bulkhead, is a straight settee, with storage above & behind.
To starboard is another, very comfortable, straight settee with a pilot berth above and storage drawers & hanging locker forward. Both settees have a pull-out base beneath the cushions to make them wider for sleeping.
Opposite the hanging lockers and drawers is the head with LectrSan toilet, basin and lots of storage.
The V-berth is large and has storage at the aft end of the cabin, port and starboard and below the bunk, as well as overhead storage along the hull sides and access to the anchor locker at the foot of the berth. An overhead hatch provides light and ventilation.
