SISU is the Finnish word which stands for Stamina, Fortitude and !Guts”. SISU was originally drawn by Royal Lowell (Please Google Royal Lowell family) in the 1970"s and her basic design is arguably the most seaworthy ever for a small power boat.
Modern composite materials plus a couple of design tweaks have made her even better. Tweaks include recessed chines forward, damp spray add dynamic lift lift to her round chines aft as she accelerates. Classic open sided hard top pilot house offers shelter from sun & weather and has 2 pedestal 360 degree seats at helm & crew. The cockpit is very open with a full width aft seat and cushions. The boarding steps act as two mid-cockpit seats.
In the cabin there are two 6' 3” bunks and cushions as well a permanent toilet with pump out system.
In the aft end of the boat there is a new Sunbrella Bimini top with sun shade completely covering the cockpit with easy on and off installation – bolt rope is attached to the aft lip of the pilot house and zipper system on aft support tube. Please refer to the picture.
Additional sun shade is attached to the back end of the Bimini. Also aft is the flag staff with a 2" by 4" Canadian flag.
A safety feature includes teak grab rails on the top of the cabin and pilot house as well as on the pilot house struts.
The rudder has been extended for more efficient manoeuvrability. See picture
