Description

Nautor Swan 431

Introducing the 1978 Nautor Swan 431, a timeless masterpiece of Finnish craftsmanship and renowned naval architecture by Sparkman & Stephens. This 43-foot cruiser-racer epitomizes the blend of performance and luxury that Swan yachts are celebrated for. Built with offshore cruising and racing in mind, the Swan 431 delivers exceptional stability, speed, and durability—hallmarks of its robust GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) hull and deck construction.

From the sleek lines of its monohull design to its deep, lead-keel that offers superior upwind performance, the Swan 431 handles effortlessly in various sea conditions. The spacious, well-laid-out cockpit provides a perfect command center for the skipper, while the powerful sloop rig ensures excellent sail balance and easy maneuverability. Below deck, this vessel boasts a meticulously crafted teak interior with accommodations that blend comfort and practicality, featuring a cozy saloon, full-function galley, and generous sleeping quarters for up to six passengers.

The 1978 Swan 431 is revered for its seaworthiness, capable of handling bluewater passages or weekend cruising with ease. For those seeking the elegance of a classic Swan yacht with a proven racing pedigree, this yacht offers an incredible balance of speed, safety, and long-range cruising capability. Ideal for sailors who appreciate performance without sacrificing the pleasure of refined sailing, the Swan 431 remains a coveted vessel among collectors and enthusiasts alike, offering an unparalleled yachting experience.

This boat has crossed the Atlantic twice. The present owner purchased the yacht in 2017 and performed major restoration. Pretty much replaced or rebuilt all systems, also added many additional features.  The present owner is a 40-year master marine technician. The boat was on the hard in Connecticut for 8 years prior to sale to current owner in 2017. The current owner is selling the yacht because they no longer need such a large yacht. Located in Cleveland, Ohio. Immediately available for sale
