Brightside was designed by Frans Maas, a Danish Naval Architect and built by Palmer Johnson to withstand the closest scrutiny. It was totally rebuilt in the mid nineties and in many ways surpasses the original with all new systems and (oversized) deck gear and hardware. Her sleek lines and gleaming black hull are certain to be a head turner in any harbor. The interior was well finished more inline with the early S&S swans that Palmer Johnson was importing and finishing out at the time. Hull form is... tumblehome, small stern,. Nice skeg rudder... the bottom looks like the Swans of the era as well. This is a first class yacht in every respect.
