Description
ELSKOV was designed by K. Aage Nielsen and built by the renowned A Walsted’s Baadevaerft in Thurø, Denmark. She was launched in 1969 as the fourth TIOGA for Bradley Noyes of Marblehead, Massachusetts. Noyes’s father, Harry Noyes, initiated the TIOGA series with the 72’ L. Francis Herreshoff-designed ketch TIOGA OF BOSTON in 1939. That first TIOGA is now called TICONDEROGA, and is one of the most recognized classic yachts in the world. ELSKOV has a remarkable pedigree.
The fourth TIOGA became ELSKOV when Noyes sold her to his sister and brother-in-law, who cruised in her for more than twenty years before selling her to Finley Perry, who enjoyed his own remarkable 20-year tenure with her. He made several high-latitude voyages in ELSKOV, the most ambitious of which was a trip to the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard in 2003. With her spacious interior, large galley, two cabins, and berths for seven, she was the perfect yacht for that adventure.
ELSKOV currently spends summers in Brooklin, Maine and is in excellent condition. Please inquire for additional information or to schedule a visit.
