1958 Block Island 4012m

ASTRAL is a Block Island 40 designed by Bill Tripp and built by American Boatbuilding in 1958  . Strong fiberglass hull & deck construction features a midships centerboard for shoal draft and performance cruising. 

Owned by a knowledgeable and experienced yachtsman since 1972, ASTRAL has been comprehensively equipped for safe and comfortable cruising, and has accumulated a significant list of  successful ocean and coastal passages.

ASTRAL was repowered in 2007 with a 40 horsepower 4JH 4E Yanmar diesel motor.for reliable performance under power. She is rigged as a masthead yawl with Schaefer roller furling headstay system and roller reefing on the main boom. Yard maintained (inside heated storage), she has provided many years of  successful cruising, and with some upgrades and modernization, ASTRAL has many more years of safe and comfortable passage- making  and cruising, under new ownership.
