White River Marine Group is the largest manufacturer of boats in the world. Having said that, I will add they know how to build boats, and do it well. Their top of the line Regency 254 DL3 reflects directly their desire to build impeccable vessels that display quality that will last. A quick review of the specifications show a very stable boat with a range of about 100 miles at 30 knots. The Mercury 250 Optimax pushes the 27.5 LOA hull with a dry weight of 3,640 pounds very well. The beam is 8’6” allowing for a lot of on the water play room for up to 15 people at 3000 pounds total. The amenities are not just tough and durable, but also luxurious. The hull is powder coated finish inhibits corrosion and helps the boat stay looking great for a long time. The color coordinated rails, tubes, and cover give the boat a great look you will be proud of. Handling doesn’t just come from the powerful motor but with lifting strakes and wave deflectors that help the boat stay on plane and keep you dry. Comfort is provided with roto-molded backs and bases and foam wrapped moisture resistant upholstery. Boating magazine in 2014 provided some great data on the performance of the vessel.
