Delta 400 SW - 2015
2 x Volvo Penta D6 - 370HpWith 125hours
One owner since new and always vinter storage in warm hangar.
Delta 400 SW is a Scandinavian build cabin boat for six people with plenty of equipment.
The Delta 400 has a typical Nordic deck construction with a negatively inclined windshield (the top shows towards the bow), which is common in commercial vessels.
Solid handrails and non-slip floor structures are just as much part of the Delta concept as the flat silhouette.
The same applies to the saloon located in the salon, which has direct access to the side deck.
This side exit is particularly convenient when docking and one-man locks.
Below deck, the designer houses three sleeping cabins and a wet room.
The bow cabin is intended for the owner due to its size, layout and equipment.
The middle cabin and the aft cabin also have double berths, which are noticeably and are intended for guests and family members.
The aft cabin is bigger than the one in the middle as it offers more headroom and a wider berth.
Equipment and storage space are about the same for both.
There is a wet room for the entire crew, equipped with everything needed in the bathroom.
The galley in the salon behind the control station.
It is well equipped with an oven, two-burner gas cooker, large fridge, ample work space and storage space for preparing food and hot drinks.
It is eaten on the opposite cozy sitting area, which can be easily expanded with the variable passenger bank (either front passenger or saloon).
In the salon especially the good all-round view through the windows and the tailgate and the associated daylight incur.
More light comes through the panoramic windows in the roof, the front part can be pushed aft, making the driver and passenger position a place in the sun.
If you want to enjoy the sun even more, go into the cockpit via the rear aisle (with multiple lockable sliding door).
There is an L-bench with teak wood table, which can be lowered to build a sun lounger.
So that one finds here the necessary stop, the shipyard installed a circulating handrail.
The large bathing platform can easily be reached via the rear passage with an insertion door.
A swim ladder is standard.
This boat has installed a duo engine solution from Volvo Penta with two D6-370 provide with Z-drive and Duoprop for propulsion.
They accelerate the boat effortlessly and without visual obstruction from displacement to sliding and the Delta 400 SW glides over the water at a good 30 knots easy.
The trim tabs can be used for the slightly faster transition, but they are not absolutely necessary.
They are used when the boat lays aside, for example due to wind.
With the trim tabs at the top and slightly raised Z-drives, the Delta is brought to full throttle with almost 41 knots in the optimum position.
Economically speed distances 300 nm.
The same applies to the fast driving maneuvers, in curves, the hull without catches and swings clean circles, and the Duoprops always remain strong.
On slalom courses and when tearing the steering, the boat safely and directly follows the steering movements.
Other pluses, the rudder is child's play to turn, and chopper waves on the Baltic Sea passes through the hull buttery soft.
So that it does not create a rush during docking and the shipyard equips the bow thruster as standard.
More information will come.
