The Catalina 355 fills a nice niche in the mid 30 foot range that has been sorely lacking in new sailboats. What we love about the 355 is the versatility of the boat.
A huge cockpit with stern seats, real cockpit storage and cockpit dining table opens up to an interior that feels more like a 40 footer. The front opening fridge and deep galley sinks are a pleasure to use and the aft head with shower seat is easy and safe to use when at sea. The AC/Heat and gen-set will ensure you are comfortable in any climate, even while underway.
In addition, a furling mast and mainsail, electric main halyard/mainsheet winch and bow thruster make this exceptional boat a breeze to sail and dock.

The accommodations on the 355 can be described as spacious and luxurious. You will feel like you are aboard a much larger yacht.
Starting forward, the owner’s stateroom has a large double berth, cedar-lined, paneled hanging locker and numerous drawers, bins and shelves which provide the storage needed for extended trips.
Moving mid-ship into the salon, the U-shaped settee to starboard has the quad-leaf folding table that is both beautiful and functional. In addition, this boat has the option to convert the dinette into a double berth. To port, there is a small dinette/game/cocktail table which easily converts to a single berth or settee with the cushions provided. Aft of this area is a compact, yet well-designed navigation station. The navigation desk incorporates a recessed laptop computer compartment with dedicated power ports. Directly across from the nav station is a large, L-shaped galley.
Aft of the nav station is a conveniently located, spacious head. The head is made from a single piece of molded fiberglass which creates a modern appearance and more importantly, is easy to clean. The shower seat provides safety while showering underway. The contemporary “vessel style” sink is not only attractive; it also creates more counter space.
Aft of the galley is a private guest stateroom. The double berth has a comfortable mattress with an angled seat back, cedar-lined hanging locker, overhead hatch for ventilation and adjustable reading lights. Highlights of the accommodations include:
The large, well-designed, L-shaped galley is both a beautiful and a functional space to use. There is a combo microwave & stove cook-top. All counter tops are made of a durable solid surface material with deep, teak fiddles for safety. The deep, double, polished stainless steel sinks have a single lever faucet and sprayer. The refrigerator/freezer has both front and top access for convenience. Highlights include:
The Catalina 355 features a hull design with a long waterline, moderate beam and freeboard and a handsome low-profile cabin structure.
Everywhere you look on the 355, you'll find features that make sailing for the day or for extended periods a pure pleasure. Precise mainsail control is a snap with a 5' long traveler. Long, inboard genoa tracks accommodate headsails from a powerful 155 percent genoa to a storm jib, allowing a balanced sail plan for all wind conditions. The inboard shrouds and hardware facilitates tighter sheeting angles for upwind performance and wide, unobstructed weather decks for safety.
