Step inside and you will find a nice warm interior space that is kept warm and dry with a Espar diesel forced air furnace. Gorgeous wood accents, carpeting and curtains give the feeling of being home more than out at sea. The head is just inside the cabin on the starboard side, so it's accessible from either the cockpit or the main cabin. Just inside the back door to port is a seating area that also has a privacy sliding door that makes into a berth. Forward is that large settee that also doubles as berth. The forward seat can face either back towards the table or makes into a forward facing seat for 2 adults to help navigate. The cook will be impressed with the full kitchen just aft of the main helm station. Complete with a Princess stove and oven, a stainless sink, and a Norcold fridge.
The aft deck on this Commander offers plenty of room for pulling pots, fishing, or just lounging after a long day on the water. The cockpit is armed with plenty of storage compartments, a rear steer station, and a large engine hatch that allows you access all around the Volvo Penta diesel engines. There's also a nice transom door that allows you to easily pass from the cockpit to the swim step and off the vessel at the dock. From the cockpit, you can easily climb the ladder to the large fly bridge. The view from the bridge allows you a front row seat to any action on the back deck or any wildlife that you may come across.
This 30' cruiser is powered by a set of Volvo Penta D-4 diesel engines with under 500 total hours. Most would say they are just broken in! She cruises around 22 knots and can jump up to over 35 knots if you need to outrun a storm. With the capability of 190 gallons of diesel onboard, you will have plenty of range.
For AC power, she is outfitted with 30 amp shore power. She has 2 start batteries, and a house system that has 2 more. When you are away from the dock she is armed with an inverter to run your AC systems without a generator. This Commander's electronics package includes a Furuno radar, Standard Horizon plotter, and Furuno depth sounder. She also has a Kenwood surround system and Standard Horizon VHF.
You will find this Commander 30 in fantastic shape. She is a great combination of a classic Pacific Northwest cruiser and a serious fishing machine. If you're looking for a vessel to mark all the boxes, this may be the one.
