Sought-after South African built catamaran available for sale in the US, import duty paid, ready for her next adventure! "Maru" went through a massive refit with intention to circumnavigate in 2020, but a change in circumstances are causing her loving owners to sell. She's an owner's version and never chartered, and was the second out of the mold in 2007. She earned accolades as Boat of the Year at the Cape Town boat show the year of her production (and was used by the factory to display). She has since crossed the Atlantic and cruised the US and Caribbean, always under private ownership. From her fine interior finishes to her sturdy construction, she is truly a special boat. If you want a catamaran that is built exceptionally well, has the best of everything, will stand out in the anchorage, and keep you safe and comfortable on a crossing, this is your boat. Located in St. Augustine, FL. Please call to arrange a showing today! This boat has the features of one much larger--her creature comforts include Isotherm deep freeze and refrigeration, a more-than-adequate genset and solar with an inverter and large battery bank, an electric winch and 3 more self-tailing so that the boat can be sailed from the cockpit, a washer dryer, air conditioner, and so much more. Her finishes are beautiful--her upholstery is in tasteful ostrich leather and her interior woodwork glistens. Call me today to schedule an appointment--you don't want to miss this one!

The tradition of catamarans built in South Africa is strong. This is one of the finest you will see in the 40-foot range. She has been kept like-new by fastidious owners who haven't spared a penny in maintaining her. Upon entering her sliding glass doors, you are greeted by warm finishing in the finest materials available. The table and seating area are directly in front of you and the galley is to your left. With her expansive galley up and her spacious dinette with ostrich-leather upholstery, she's made for comfortable entertaining and living. Her galley features large separate refrigerator and freezer and ample storage for provisions. Here there is also a nav station to your right, with cabinetry built in especially for tool storage.
The starboard hull is the owner's suite, and features a large head forward complete with a bathtub. The queen aft cabin is roomy and comfortable, and there is extra storage and access to the battery bank in between head and master cabin. The port hull features two large (queen) guest cabins and a head with a full separate shower. In between there is more storage and a washer/dryer, which you will have no problem running from the boat's multiple energy sources and two watermakers.
The cockpit, entered from the aft deck, is wide and excellent for lounging and entertaining. The hardtop offers almost 7 feet of headroom, and there is excellent visibility from the bench seat at the helm. She has a 24' beam, which means you have a huge amount of space on deck. Her davits are massive and built in, never having to worry about lifting the dinghy with the motor attached.
Overall, this is a stunning boat. Come see her!
