Moon Reach is one of only a few raised salon center cockpits built by Morris Yachts. The Morris 46 is well known for its performance, quality construction and sea keeping abilities. The center cockpit arrangement offers a large owners cabin aft with a large double berth and ensuite head with separate shower. The salon is spacious and airy with a large galley that runs fore and aft securely located in the starboard walkway . Moon Reach is rigged for short handed cruising with electric winches and Leisure Furl boom. She has been lightly used and is a rare offering in remarkable condition.
This center cockpit model offers privacy for two couples or a family with private staterooms each with their own head forward and aft.
V-berth with filler and foam mattress. Two ports and an overhead hatch provide light and ventilation. There are two drawers and a foot locker below each berth. Cherry hull sheathing with full length open shelves above each berth. There is access to the anchor locker through a deck hatch forward. There is a watertight bulkhead between the anchor locker and forward stateroom.
Access from forward cabin and main salon. There is a Corian countertop. Vacuflush toilet with holding tank. Shower sump with removable drain board, oval sink with pressure hot and cold water. Grohe mixer and pull out shower faucet. This head also has linen storage, one port light and one opening hatch.
Dinette to port with drop leaf table that comfortably seats 6. The starboard settee pulls out to make a larger bunk. There are storage lockers outboard and lockers and book shelves to port. Forward there is a hanging locker with a louvered door. Two cabin top hatches for light and ventilation with Ocean Air screens and shades. Blue ultra suede upholstery is handsome with the cherry joiner work and teak and holly sole.

SPARS AND RIGGING:
Morris Yachts and designer Chuck Paine have developed a center cockpit design for the traditional and very popular MY46. The traditional good looks and spaciousness of the aft cockpit MY46 lent itself perfectly to this adaptation. From toe rail down the Morris 46 Raised Salon is the oceangoing thoroughbred that is well known throughout the sailing world as a leader in integrity of performance, safety and sea keeping abilities. This raised salon deck version has dramatically increased the interior space and layout possibilities, offering Morris Yacht customers the opportunity to create precisely the layout that suits their needs.
On deck, the yacht is laid for ease of use, safety and comfort. She carries a high performance sail plan utilizing a non-overlapping jib, carbon spar, electric primary and halyard winches and a windlass with remote control in the cockpit. Navigation instruments are all interfaced with each other and are well located for visibility on the seahood and at the pedestal. The cockpit is large and has a secure feeling, with a walk-through at each coaming. The lazarette on the aft deck provides ample storage for sails, inflatable dingy, and related cruising equipment. A separate propane locker is located aft of the lazarette and accommodates three 10-lb bottles. A watertight bulkhead separates the forward stateroom from a foredeck locker, which is accessed by a Bomar hatch.
