There is a V-Berth forward with filler and a mid Cabin with entry on starboard side.
The interior appeared to be builder’s standard arrangement with standard components and fittings, liners and partitioning. There was no evidence of joinery stress or linear distortion. Deck and hull liners limited ready visual access to deck hardware backing plates and fasteners, and to piping, wiring, etc. Housekeeping was good and the wear and tear on the interior or upholstery and other soft goods is in above average condition.
Storage: There is considerable storage on this vessel in the form of lockers throughout the vessel. All storage areas are dry and serviceable.
Cabin Sole: Synthetic Teak and Holly sole throughout vessel.
Headliner: Fiberglass with tan vinyl.
Upholstery: All settees and mattresses are covered in a blue cloth material that is in excellent condition.

Details of construction appeared as standard for the 2005 Hunter 27. The hull and topsides are constructed of fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) with Baltek end grain balsa coring and vinylester gelcoat. Hull support was by FRP stringers, traverse floors and ½” marine grade plywood bulkheads bonded to the hull, interior partitioning, joinery, and deck moldings. The subject boat generally appears to have been built with commonly accepted materials and to accepted recreational marine industry production standards and practices prevailing at the time of construction.
Deck Hatches, Port lights/Portholes
Hatches and Portholes: One (1) Bomar 19” white vinyl coated tinted Lexan hatch is located on the cabin top.
Port light(s): All port and starboard fixed portlights are in good condition.
Pulpit/Stern Rails: Bow pulpit and Stern rail were visually inspected using a 10X magnifying glass to determine cracks or breaks in the welds. Determined to be within normal limits
Lifelines: The 3/16” white vinyl coated 1 x 19 stainless steel wire for the lifelines is in good condition.
Stanchions: The welded stainless steel stanchion system on the port and starboard sides running from bow pulpit to stern rail were visually inspected using a10X magnifying glass to determine cracks or breaks in the welds. Determined to be within normal limits
Grab Rails and Deck Rails: All grab rails and deck rails were visually inspected by 10 x magnifying glass to determine cracks or breaks in the welds.
Scuppers: Scuppers were free and clear of debris
Chocks and Cleats: There are two (2) 8” stainless steel cleats on the port and starboard sides of the bow with one (1) 8” stainless steel cleat located in the anchor locker, and two (2) 8” stainless steel cleats on the port and starboard stern quarter.
Deck Fittings: The O-rings for the fuel, water and waste deck fittings are in good condition.

The Hunter 27 is a roomy boat. Headroom is just over 6' under the main hatch, and almost 5' 10" at the forward end of the main cabin.
The forepeak contains a double berth. Aft of that cabin is a full-width head. Newer Hunter 27s have a holding tank system. Older boats are likely to have portable heads.
The main cabin has settee berths port and starboard. These settees extend under the forward bulkhead. While this arrangement reduces seating area, it also allows more room for the galley and quarterberth. It’s a reasonable trade-off.
To port, at the aft end of the cabin, there is a quarterberth. A folding chart table is located over the forward end of the quarterberth. To starboard is the galley, with sink, two-burner alcohol stove, and icebox.
With eight opening ports, two opening hatches, and the companionway, ventilation in newer Hunter 27s is excellent at anchor in good weather. Older models have fewer opening ports. As with many boats, there is no provision for ventilation in heavy weather.
With a molded glass headliner, teak-finished bulkheads, solid teak trim, and teak cabin sole, the cabin has a finished appearance. There is good storage for a boat of this size for short-term cruising.
