Are you looking for a cruising yacht that is recently upgraded, fully outfitted and ready to sail?
Eclipse is a Caliber 47 Long Range Cruiser (LRC) designed and built with serious cruising in mind. Consequently, she has numerous safety and design features which make the boat ideal for long distance sailing and anchoring out, as well as all the comforts for living aboard. Eclipse is a high quality, well-maintained, recently outfitted cruising yacht ready for her next owners to sail away.
This boat is the perfect size and setup for double-handed sailing and has a very smooth ride through the ocean. The cutter-rig with furling sails is ideal for a broad variety of wind conditions. Extended solid stainless steel pushpit and pulpit as well as 30" stanchions and lifelines, granny bar at mast, handholds along the coachroof, and well-protected cockpit are excellent safety features.
Storage capacity of the Caliber inside, outside, and for fuel and water is unparalleled in boats this size. There are 4 external storage lockers in addition to the anchor locker so all your water toys and equipment can be neatly stowed away. The fuel and water tanks are built into the hull and keel in a specially designed ‘inner skin’, creating strength and stability as well as space for storage. With Fuel capacity of 300 gallons and Water capacity of 227 gallons, you are able to travel as far and as long as you desire.
Eclipse is completely setup for a comfortable liveaboard life. Recent upgrades to fully outfit the boat for extended cruising include watermaker, washer/dryer, and solar & wind power so you can be completely self-sufficient afloat. Belowdecks she is a ‘2 Bedroom/2 Bath waterfront condo’ with beautiful teak interior. The aft owners cabin includes queen island berth, expansive storage, and great ventilation with his/hers individual hatches. A unique feature to Caliber is the dining table that stows away on the bulkhead so you have a living area with plenty of room for socializing with friends.
'Eclipse' was the Boat Show Boat in 2005/6 and was the subject of many magazine reviews. She is hull #17 of the LRC SE range and benefited from the lessons learned on the earlier boats in this model range. Her current owners bought her in 2014 and undertook numerous upgrades in preparation to go cruising. Eclipse spent the majority of her life in New England, benefiting from short sailing seasons and quality workmanship for the recent upgrades. Her current owners moved aboard in June of 2018 and have been cruising and island hopping in the Caribbean since November of 2018. During that time they have been constantly upgrading and maintaining systems (See Descriptions). In February 2020, Eclipse was hauled in Antigua for bottom painting (see photos).
Eclipse's many upgrades include:

The interior is light, warm, spacious and exudes 'class'. The ambiance is enhanced by the varnished teak cabinetry, teak and holly sole, white headliner with teak cross beams and hand-holds and light colored upholstery. Opening portlights, down both sides of the cabin top, and hatches, allow good ventilation throughout.
The companionway steps lead into the salon, with galley to port and nav station to starboard. The galley is a walk-through (to the aft cabin) on the port side, with a slight angle at the forward end, creating a division between sink and salon. Access to the engine & generator compartments is through 2 doors midships, storage drawers below companionway steps.
To starboard of the companionway, the Nav Station is tucked in just forward of the bulkhead which opens into the walk-through head. The head consists of a shower/wet-locker forward, with toilet and basin aft and a door into the aft cabin. Counter tops are Corian, Raritan electric head.
The aft cabin is spacious. It has a centerline queen-sized bunk that can be accessed from both sides, with custom memory foam mattress (2018). There is lots of standing room and copious storage, including cedar lined hanging lockers cabinets down both sides of the hull & under the bunk.
The salon consists of a straight settee to starboard and an L-shaped settee to port, with a custom bench/chest that stows below the table on the forward bulkhead and can be moved as needed. Both settees can be used a sea-berths and the port settee pulls out to form a double berth. The table stows against the forward, port bulkhead when not in use, there is shelving or bottle storage behind. This feature, in a boat of this size, is unique Caliber. It creates an open, 'living room' feel, which is desirable when living aboard.
The forward cabin has a double pullman berth, with custom memory foam mattress (2018), to port, with extensive storage beneath, as well as storage & shelving along the hull above the bunk and down the starboard hull. The forward head is in the bow, with separate shower area. The Raritan manual head is separated from the anchor locker and deck storage lockers by the Caliber water-tight collision bulkhead.
