The Beneteau 473 was designed by Groupe Finot and built in South Carolina, from 2000 to 2005. The 473 was considered a flagship design for its superior performance, coupled with generous interior volume, providing solid value.

The original owner of this 2 cabin, 2 head Beneteau 473 kept the boat on Lake Erie, and was forced to sell after just two seasons due to a change in the family situation. The name Crème Brulee was its original name, and after a celebratory desert on the maiden voyage, the name was kept, and is now Federal Registered in Canada.
The seller, being an engineer, has ensured that all upgrades are 'Bristol' and functional. The Yanmar Genset with sea water intercooler is exceptionally quiet. Combined with the Xantrex unit and Blue Sea monitor, this makes a very effective package for meeting power needs. Among the highlights of the upgrades, the house batteries have been replaced with AGM's and one 4D battery normally stored aft has been relocated to the compartment forward of the engine with the other two, providing more even charging and improved weight distribution. The Espar heating unit, along with the genset, have been located in the aft cockpit lazarette resulting in quiet operation, and completely freeing space in the primary cockpit 'garage' lazerette.
This is a comfortable bluewater cruiser, robustly built with a solid glass hull, integral grid liner, and balsa cored deck. The nearly plumb bow and beam carried well aft, provide for a nice combination of speed and comfort.
The masthead rig features double swept back spreaders, twin backstays and baby stay. Twin wheels contribute to exceptional cockpit comfort and access.
The forward cabin features an island berth, with a beautiful hanging locker and head with separate full shower.
The salon has a U Shaped dinette to starboard with centerline bench, and longitudinal galley to port. There is a second head aft. The aft cabin features a very large berth and a second hanging locker.
The 2 cabin layout features an enormous storage 'garage' and concurrently a larger galley with expanded upper and lower cabinets. With Crème Brulee's genset and Espar heater located in the aft lazarette, the 'garage' is fully available for storage, additional temporary bunking or a conversion to a third berth.
