There are berths for 6 aboard, a double and a single forward, and another double and a single aft.
There is a private, enclosed head with a Lavac head with a holding tank. The head is located to starboard aft of the main cabin.

The galley is located amidships to port. It has a 2 burner propane stove and a double stainless steel sink. There is a fresh water electric pump and a salt water hand pump. Construction
Faamu Sami was commissioned in 1999 and launched in 2001. The hulls were built by Dick Vermuelen at Maine Cat in Bremen, ME. The beams were built by Jeff Kent at Composite Solutions in Hingham, MA. The mast was built by Ted Van Dusen at Composite Engineering in Concord, MA.
The hulls are S-glass over Corecell foam.
The beams are carbon prepreg over balsa.
The mast is a 72 ft carbon wing with a 15 inch chord.
Safety Equipment
Boat is rigged to race Category 0 ocean races with all required equipment.

The boat is painted with Awl Grip.
The interior is finished with white gel coat that has been rolled on.
