Manufacturer Provided Description
The Dyer 29 Down East Hard Top is so quiet that a social conversation or a picnic can be enjoyed while underway. The boat is easily driven, level-riding and non-pounding, with a 250 horsepower diesel that slices through waves at 20 knots cruising speed. The 29 has been proven durable and seaworthy by more than 300 owners and fishing captains. The raised bridgedeck over the engine offers great visibility from the wheel and, without an engine box, there's ample space inside the enclosed top. The Herreschoff style sailboat cabin is perfect for a cruising couple with its twin V-berth cabin, galley and enclosed head.
Below and all the way forward is the rope locker with its louvered teak door. There are two berths w/a filler measuring 6'3" in length. A shelf and light is located above each and stowage is below in hole front lockers. The sole below is teak and holly Wearite. Aft of the starboard berth is a hanging locker with a bookshelf above. The cabin and wheelhouse are air conditioned at the dock with a 16,000 BTU, Passport II A/C unit. The Boat also has a diesel Espar Heater located in the cockpit starboard side locker.
