She is engineered for roominess and comfort, high fuel capacity, ample storage space, walk-in engine room, convenient workshop area, and safety at sea.
The lower deck has three staterooms each with an en-suite head, sleeping six in two queen beds and two twins. The walk-in engine room and a separate workshop/pantry space are amidships.
The main deck consists of a large galley forward, a dining room and main salon, with an aft fantail deck with staircase leading to the large swim platform.
The upper deck has a large enclosed pilothouse, a sky-lounge with day head, and a large open aft deck with Dynasty stainless gas grill and seating for a large group.
The interior of LIONESSE has been finished to a very fine quality, with high-gloss wood accents, wall-to- wall carpeting, cream-colored vinyl bulkheads and overheads, and granite and marble countertops.
The galley is located forward of the saloon and dining area on the port side. Large fixed windows face the foredeck. Bamboo floors, granite counter tops and high-end stainless steel appliances make this galley a wonderful environment for creating simple snacks or gourmet meals.
The pilothouse features a Portuguese bridge, and is equipped with a full complement of modem electronics and navigation aids.
LIONESSE has a conservative cruising range at 1600 nautical miles, running at 1750 rpm = 9.4 knots. She carries 2,400 gallons of fuel and only burns 13 gallons per hour (this figure includes running a Northern Lights 20kW generator). The twin Caterpillar 3306 diesel engines are rated at 290 hp each, and have Walker Air Seps, bypass oil filters, and ZF marine gears. Grouped Racor filters provide ample fuel filtering capacity with easy changeover while underway.
The stabilizers are 9 square foot fins by Naiad. Maneuvering in close quarters is made easier by the 12hp American Bow Thruster. There are twin Maxwell 3500 anchor windlasses on the foredeck, and twin Maxwell 2200 warping windlasses on the fantail. The 13.5-foot Novurania rigid bottom inflatable tender with a Yamaha 50 HP four-cycle outboard is launched and retrieved with a Nautical Strudures 1500-lb davit on the foredeck. A Rix 3HP scuba tank compressor is fitted in the lazarette with a dine tank available. A Sea Tel stabilized TV antenna feeds a Sony 32-inch flat screen TV and a 32-inch Panasonic TV.
Electrical system is run by two 20kw Northern lights generators ( 5300 hours), 8kw inverters by Trace backed by 16 ID marine batteries, and an 18kw Atlas shorepower energy system fed by two 50- Amp 240-volt shore power cords. Sentry battery chargers and Ample Energy monitor.
The freshwater tankage holds 600 gallons. The watermaker is built by Sea Recovery, and produces 33 gallons per hour. There are several Everpure water filters in the fresh water system.
The air conditioning system is a chilled water system by Aqua-air, with a 10-ton capacity. There are 5 Vacu-Flush heads which feed into a 140-gallon holding tank. A Delta Marine ozone generator provides odor control for both grey and black water waste tanks.
Safety features include an extensive alarm system with annunciator at the bridge monitoring the bilge pumps, high bilge levels, smoke alarms throughout the vessel, and any open doors. The fire suppression system in the engine room is Ansul CO2. A closed-circuit TV monitor in the wheelhouse provides a 360 degree view of the engine room. A Newmar Intercom links all of the interior spaces. A Buell air horn, ACR searchlight, and a Winslow 6-man liferaft round out the safety equipment.
ACCOMMODATIONS & LAYOUT:
Main Salon and Dining
Enter the main salon from the aft deck through a stainless steel and glass sliding door. A Phantom screen door is deployed from within a door pocket. Top of it is a built-in "L”-shaped settee with built-in storage.
There is an end table w/storage cabinet and lamp at the aft bulkhead,and a cocktail table w/storage in front of the settee. The entertainment center is built- in and located aft on the starboard side. Forward of the entertainment center is the spiral staircase leading up to the Sky Lounge and Pilothouse. Forward of the "up" staircase is the "down" spiral staircase which leads to the VIP and master staterooms. Across to port is the dining table and chairs. Forward, against the bulkhead is the wetbar with sink and faucet, and the china cabinet with glass front cabinet doors. The countertop is granite. Below the countertop is a U-Line refrigerator with icemaker, and additional large storage lockers. The main salon and dining are a are bright and open with large windows along the port,starboard, and aft bulkheads.
Sky Lounge
The Sky Lounge is on the upper deck, and is accessed by the "up" floating spiral staircase which is located in the main salon. The Day Head is situated forward and to starboard in the Sky Lounge. The Sky Lounge features a loveseat to port with storage compartments. A matching armchair is on the aft bulkhead to port with an end table and lamp situated in the corner next to the loveseat. A low table services this seating area. Across to starboard again in the aft bulkhead is a built-in desk with matching chair. Forward of the desk is a fabric-covered chair. A granite counter with storage bins above and below is built in to the forward bulkhead on the portside of the companion way which leads into the wheelhouse. A U-Line refrigerator with icemaker is located in the lower section of this counter.
Sky Lounge Day Head
Sky Lounge Fantail Deck
Exit aft through a stainless steel and glass sliding door (with hidden Phantom screen door) and access the Sky Lounge Fantail Deck. This area is wonderful for entertaining or just relaxing with an elevated view of your surroundings. There is comfortable semi-circular settee aft, with two large high-low tables. Over-head sun shade. A large Dynasty gas grill is built-in against the forward bulkhead on the port side. A U-Line refrigerator with icemaker is located on the forward bulkhead, with a sink and hot and cold water in the counter. Covered side decks lead forward to the Portuguese bridge.
Pilothouse
The Pilothouse is located forward of the SkyLounge. There are 3 large windows facing forward which offer incredible visibility. There are 2 watertight opening doors opening onto the covered side decks. All of the electronics are built in to the full-width dashboard console. There is a Stidd captain’s chair on the centerline and a smaller Stidd chair to starboard, both covered in Navy blue leather. There is a raised settee with a table on the port side aft bulkhead.
Master Stateroom
The master stateroom is located aft of the VIP stateroom. A queen berth is set on the centerline against the aft bulkhead. Storage space in this stateroom is abundant, with deep drawers and hanging lockers. The washer and dryer are built-in on the forward bulkhead. There is a large TV shelf/book storage cabinet on the forward bulkhead with a large pull-out laundry hamper under. There is also a hide-away ironing board within this cabinet. The master stateroom head is located aft in the stateroom and is full-beam.

The VIP stateroom is located forward of the master stateroom on the lower deck and is accessed by the down staircase off the main salon. A Queen berth is on the centerline against the forward bulkhead. Storage ockers are located under. There is more than ample storage in closets and deep drawers throughout. The en-suite head is located to starboard upon entering the stateroom.

Forward Guest Cabin
Located forward of the workroom/pantry. The en-suite head is immediately to starboard when entering the forward guest cabin. The sleeping arrangement consists of two twin berths oriented fore and aft, with storage lockers under. 2 hanging lockers are located within the forward bulkhead.

LIONESSE was designed with a large swimstep/boarding platform with European styling. Flush mounted pop-up cleats are installed for dinghy mooring. A watertight door opens into the lazerette where the Rix dive compressor is mounted along with a dive tank. All of the electrical service plug-ins and the Glendinning Cablemaster are mounted in a weather-tight manner. A curved stairway leads up to the aft deck from the portside.A45-1b Fortress stern anchor with 100’ of 1" rode stowed in lazarette.
Aft Deck
The fantail and deck features a teak sole and a curved settee with table. A 25-gallon gasoline fuel tank is located behind these at back of the settee. Safe covered sidedecks with high bulwarks lead forward to the foredeck.
Workroom/Pantry
The workroom/pantry isl ocated on the lower level of the vessel at the bottom of the stairs leading down from the galley. This is a good-size area with lots of storage, handy to the engine room.
