Stop Press: Enterprise wins her IRC class in the Rolex Sydney to Hobart race 2019
An outstanding race yacht this Modified Farr 40 has has been optimised for IRC and is fully equipped to race in Category 1 offshore events or take on all comers in inshore windward/leeward racing. Optimised by Hugh Wellbourn she has a modified bulb and a bow sprit. Enterprise has just completed a successful campaign in the 2018 CYCA Blue Water Points Score Series winning Division 2 on IRC and placing 4th Overall. This included 2nd in the Sydney to Hobart on IRC in her division and 13th overall. Enterprise under went an extensive refit prior to the BWPS series including a full rewire, new rudder bearings, new keel bolts, all new pulleys, new running rigging, full repaint and replacement of starter motor and alternator. Combined with a new IRC optimised carbon mast that was fitted in 2017 with all new rod rigging and the bulk of the working sails replaced in 2018 this boat is ready to campaign offshore for years to come.
