This beautiful one owner Blackwater 29 was built for one of the Mathews Brothers in 1999 and commissioned in 2000. Used only in the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, exactly as intended. With a vee berth, galley, and head down below, the Blackwater model was created for weekend to week long overnight cruises. The cherry cabinetry below offers plenty of space for storage and the head has a full shower as well. The corian galley top includes a custom refrigeration unit, cooktop, and overhead microwave. The panda generator powers the air conditioning, water heater, and cooking appliances while charging the batteries. The cockpit features dual helm seats as well as a cushioned aft seat and teak table with drink holders. It boasts a teak deck, awl-gripped pvc ceiling strips, as well as varnished teak combings, caps, and toe-rails. Perfect for entertaining guests or for a family cruise, even fishing with eight rod-holders (four on the arch). She comes with a cockpit cover to protect the deck when not in use as well as custom drop down curtains to keep weather out while underway. This is a custom soft-top model, with a made to fit 316 stainless arch with spotlight, horn, and antennas mounted on top. The engine is a Yanmar 315hp diesel with 465 hours, and the generator is a fischer-panda with 47 hours.

Manufacturer Provided Description
The Blackwater 29 combines the finest elements in yacht finishing to provide an excellent Bay-style motor yacht for cruising with friends and occasional overnights. Because it combines so much in boat so easily managed, it has become our most popular boat, and there is typically at least one Blackwater 29 in production. Our clients choose their hull, deck and non-skid colors to compliment the teak toe rail, coaming cap, handrails and our signature Mathews Brothers eyebrow. The open cockpit has fixed side windows and fixed windshields with opening windshields an option. Standard power is a 230hp Yanmar, with 250hp and 300hp versions optional. The cockpit has twin pedestal seating as a standard with an optional aft seat. The hinged engine box provides ample table surface or additional seating capacity. Several clients have chosen to add a fold-down teak table on the aft end of the engine box, and we are pleased to provide cockpit cabinetry as an option to fit the needs of the owners. The spacious interior cabin is customized with cherry or mahogany. Four opening side ports and three overhead hatches provide ample natural light. The galley, trimmed in teak, has several storage cabinets, a stainless steel sink, and a heavily insulated ice box. The galley can be upgraded to include all the comforts of home, including a two burner stove, microwave, Corian counters, refrigeration, and a wine storage area. The enclosed head trimmed in teak with hot and cold water has a built-in sink and shower. We provide two deep cycle batteries, a compass, a 12v outlet and VHF radio as a standard with a generator, HVAC and a stereo as options. Storage includes areas under the v-berth, a hanging locker in the cabin, and areas under the optional aft seat and optional storage/coolers under the deck sole. As with all our custom boats, we begin with the standard items and design the options and additions that best suit your needs.
