IN NEEED OF TLC – Please read below:
The Dragonfly 1000 from Quorning is a robust and refined cruising trimaran. Built to the quality you would expect from a Danish yard, offering comfort for 4 people in the cabin, and with the high cruising speeds you would expect from a trimaran. The folding wings and lifting centreplate give you the freedom to berth wherever and whenever you want.
Champus is ready for her next home and is priced to sell. She is in need of some work to bring her up to sailable standard and she will be flying again in no time:
Known work required:
Heating unit missing
Water maker missing
GRP work required to wing /hull joints
Deep clean required
Engine electrics need work (engine runs well)
New standing rigging
Rudder stock and mechanism needs inspection and tightening (believed to have worked lose rather than damaged)
Would benefit from a new set of electronics
Cosmetic tidying required inside and out
Condition of sails unknown but believed to be serviceable
Canvas cockpit enclosure ok but would ideally be replaced
Please note there is no paperwork to prove VAT paid or Certificate of Conformity (CE plate is in place in cockpit).
She is well specified with solar charging, radar, heating, folding prop, furling boom and headsail, she will make a great boat for light-handed sailing. She has an extended galley making her 4 berth rather than 5. The hull appears to be in serviceable condition, and she comes complete with her transport/yard cradle which is very important with the Dragonfly boats.
All in all a lovely boat in need of some TLC, and a bargain considering the price these normally change hands for – in excess of £50k.
