The grace and simplicity of this Carl Schumacher design will please the eye of any sailor. Sure she was designed to win races, but if you enjoy "backpack cruising" she has everything you need.
She features cold molded construction and was vacuum bagged with carbon fiber and a reverse sheer for added strength. Afterburner was completely rebuilt for the 2016 Pac Cup, sails, deck, electronics the whole enchilada. Some of these sails are still in the bags as due to personal issue she never competed.
Non overlapping headsails, new diesel engine, easily surfs downwind, great doublehander or sail with friends and family. Carbon rig and deep bulb keel with nearly 50% displacement in ballast makes her fast and stiff.
From the Expresses to the Alerion Carl Schumacher's designs are legendary. Take Afterburner for a test sail and you will see why!
