This is a nice boat with newer sales and electronics. It is priced this low for one reason only, it is a fin keel in the land of wing keel. They liked to race the boat which goes much better with a fin keel. At this price, ship it where ever you want.
"Compromise" is a classic 2 Cabin Model Catalina 42, well equipped and in excellent condition. Electronics, Sails, A/C units and exterior canvas all replaced in 2015, so no used boat here. The 50 hp Yanmar diesel starts instantly and only has 728 hours on it. Maintenance is done regularly every 3 to 6 months since the current owner bought the boat in 2001.
Her fin keel makes her an excellent ocean boat that also performs competitively in the club racing mode. The Pullman berth forward is wide and spacious and has its own head and shower. The aft cabin also is adjacent to the aft head. Great design on this vessel.
Maintenance has been extensive and last bottom job was October, 2017. Pictures were taken Oct, 2018.
Don't pass this great boat up. She is roomy, a great sailor, comfortable in all seaways and ready to cruise where ever you would like.
