Rodster is a wonderful example of a custom boat built as by old world Nova Scotia craftsmen. The hull shape is derived from north atlantic fisherman that needed boats that can handle a seaway. Her designer was Spencer Lincoln of Maine. He has many wonderful designs to his credit. She was built using the strip-planking method of 2x2 inch and coated in epoxy with two layers of 11 oz cloth. The current owner has a lifetime of boating experience and has brought Rodster to the level of yacht quality. Over the last six years she's been continually upgraded and refined into a proper cruising boat of the finest style. Take a look through this wonderful boat, rarely found in the pacific northwest and come to Bainbridge Island to see her, you won't be disappointed. Rodster was hauled in June 2019 for new anti-fouling and a new swimstep built, pictures attached

Walking up to Rodster from a dock you are drawn to her rugged good looks. The current owners have done wonderful things to make her look and perform as a proper yacht. You'll notice the oversize bow rail, beautiful wood window treatments, SS handholds and very functional detailing.
Her sheer-line is well proportioned to shed water forward, yet allows for easy boarding aft. She has a generous cockpit with room for guests and a big working platform for docking, fishing or boarding the dinghy. She comes fitted with a St Croix davit system that is removable when not needed. Her decks and cockpit have teak overlay. Large doors open the cabin to the cockpit making her very inviting and easy to live aboard during the summer. There is a large bench seat at the aft of the cockpit that is very comfortable underway.
The main salon has seating port and starboard with a large fold down table that seats 6 comfortably for meals, yet folds down to allow easy fore and aft access. Her interior deck is teak and holly. Forward, but still in the raised part of the cabin is the pilot station to starboard and another custom seat facing forward to port. The helm is at the very forward part of the main cabin and has great visibility all around. There are helm doors port and starboard for access and ventilation. The cabin can be made to feel very open or made private with side curtains attached. The interior window trim is mahogany for warmth and the ceiling is clear spruce.
Going down three steps takes you to the galley on the port side with a Corian counter, access to the fridge, the stove and there is plenty of storage. There is a large single SS sink that leaves plenty of room for food prep. A microwave is fitted in addition to the three burner Tasco range with oven. The forward cabin is open on the port side to the main cabin for conversation with the galley. But much like an open plan home, the three step elevation change makes it feel like a separate space.
To port is a large fully enclosed head with shower. A Lavac head is installed, the most reliable marine head made. A hatch and port allow for ample ventilation.
Forward of the galley and head is a large V-berth that can function as two single berths, one large berth (with the spacer installed) or two settees facing each other. A table can also be installed between the settees, for a separate dinette.
A wood slat ceiling creates a warm and wonderful environment as you'd expect from a traditional yacht.
All of the lockers, cabinets and bilge spaces are sanded epoxy and painted white.
