BRIO features a large aft cockpit with all sail controls led aft for easy short handed sailing. The low profile deckhouse allows good forward visibility from the cockpit and easy walking over the top. Besides the sleek appearance, the natural flowing shape of the deckhouse contributes to the over all strength and stiffness of this catamaran and improves sailing performance through its low windage. A single large daggerboard and rotating mast section further improve sailing performance, putting BRIO par with the fastest cruising multihulls.
Fully equipped galley is located in the port hull. A double cabin is located aft in each hull. A single cabin is forward in the port and starboard hull. Each hull contains a head and separate shower compartment. 6'5” headroom in most interior working areas.
BRIO's construction quality far exceeds the norm and this contributes to her exceptional sailing performance and easy maintenance. This catamaran is a rare find and a joy to sail.
Hulls are epoxy composite using uni-directional glass fiber over a western red cedar core. Decks and bridge cabin are constructed from epoxy resin and carbon fiber skins over a PVC foam core. Crossbeams are carbon fiber/epoxy laminate. All exterior surfaces are spray painted with AwlGrip™ polyurethane coating. The hull is white, decks are light tan. The contrasting sheer stripe is blue AwlGrip.
