Loveliest Lady has been painstakingly upgraded continuously over the years. A custom mezzanine deck was installed with stairs to the swim deck to extend her length to 75 feet. This job was done with plans supplied by Hatteras and she looks and shows as factory built.
The 70 Hatteras combined the styling and interior accommodations of Hatteras classic yachts with rakish, completely updated exterior appearance and an all-new reverse transom configuration. This configuration added five feet to the yacht. The transom design incorporates an aft platform with a curved staircase descending from the main deck. The interior is nearly identical to the late model 65 Motor Yacht, an opulent four-stateroom affair with maple woodwork, a huge master suite, and an enclosed wheelhouse. The deck house galley, with it's formal dining table and chairs, is aft of the galley and within the salon. A bulkhead to ensure privacy for the owner and guests slides between the galley and the dining area. The full-width salon of the Hatteras includes more than 240 sq ft of living space-extravagant dimensions indeed for a 70-footer. Two of the four guest staterooms easily qualify as VIP suites, and the opulent master stateroom includes such luxuries as his-and-hers heads and a centerline tub. Needless to say, the list of standard equipment in this world-class yacht is impressive. No lightweight, she'll cruise at 19 knots with twin 1,100 hp Detroit 12V92's with a top speed of 21-22 knots.
This highly customized Hatteras spent six months in Baja Neval having a custom Euro transom stair case installed (adding five feet to her overall length) and all interior surfaces either replaced or refinished. Her high gloss maple / burl wood interior is simply stunning! Hydraulic lift flat panel TV was installed in the salon and a full dining table with chairs has been located forward in the main salon offering a huge entertaining area complete with very large windows to take in the southern California scenery!
From the aft deck go up several steps to a round seating area with finished table allowing for outdoor meals, coffee or perhaps a cigar. Through a one inch acrylic door find the largest salon in this class complete with dining table and chairs for up to six people. The galley is forward of the dining area and the pilot house completes the main deck.
From the pilot house custom teak and holly stairs reach the fly bridge area. This space is absolutely HUGE. At least 25 guests can entertain and play up here! There are two pedestal helm chairs and two very large L shape lounges that have a dining table on the starboard side. This area features a wet bar, ice machine, and BBQ grill.
Down from the pilot house guest will find very luxurious accommodations. At the base of the stairs there is a day head with shower, forward is a queen berth double cabin that shares this guest head. To port is a fourth stateroom that has been converted to an office with desk that doubles as a sleeping berth with the portable mattress provided. Turning aft in the forward companionway step down three steps to an exquisite VIP cabin that would be a master on most lesser vessels. This cabin has nearly full beam, queen berth, huge head with tub! There is also very tastefully mounted Jade oriental art work and some swords on stands that really set off this cabin. Aft most in this cabin is entry to the stand up engine room.
Down from the main salon several steps deliver you to the full beam master cabin. This cabin has been detailed with a custom maple bed, high end finishes and a his and hers head running full beam behind the bed. A very large tub separates his and her heads and vanities.
