Special mention is deservedly awarded to the excellent fish-fighting chair nicely mounted starboard/aft! Even if you never go fishing you can bet this will be a favorite chair for lounging in the sun, and without doubt the neighboring catamaran owners will wish they had one too!
Special mention also goes to the fantastic outdoor galley fitted aft of the cockpit, offering a perfect place for grilling and stove-top burner cooking, plus plenty of counter space!! Keeping the cooking heat outside of the boat while not isolating the cook from guests in the cockpit is an excellent feature of this catamaran!
Rigging was professionally inspected in 2018, resulting in a new martingale ordered and fitted aboard, along with a new mainsail halyard.
Batteries of three 4D size sealed lead-acid as house service bank, and port (2017) and starboard (2018) engine starting batteries.
Ground tackle of a Delta anchor (primary), a large Danforth, a Fortress, and approximately 100' of 3/8" chain plus rode. Lofrans Cayman 88 12-volt windlass with power up and down foot switches, doubles for use with raising the mainsail. And, an "up" switch is at the helm.
2006 Yanmar engines were professionally serviced and ran in December, 2018. Spare saildrive seals/bearings are aboard, among other usual spares and tools.
Individual, aesthetic, efficient, and perfectly balanced: the Venezia 42.
The futuristic "cap" in the roof is a sunshade which eliminates the greenhouse effect inside the boat and shields fabrics and woodwork from the deteriorating affect of UV rays.
Colours, shapes, materials - all are ingredients for the successful alchemy of the Venezia interior design. One of its finer points must be the unusually spacious hulls, with four double cabins. Galley and chart table are both in the saloon to take advantage of the superb all-round view.
Every Fountaine Pajot is built to the highest ISO 9002 European standard for offshore yachts, incorporating vacuum-bagging construction and careful hand lay-up with sophisticated high-strength isophthalic resins, which results in an extremely high strength-to-weight ratio. The keels are fixed fins, and filled with foam, protecting the rudders and shafts. Should they strike a reef or submerged object they harmlessly break away without allowing water intrusion.
Fountaine Pajot catamarans use nets forward and eliminate weight in the forward hulls to prevent pitching and aid bow recovery in heavy seas. Electric windlass is used not only for hauling in the anchor, but also for hoisting the mainsail.
