This Beneteau First 260 Spirit was built in 1995 by Beneteau to a design by Group Finot. blue GRP hull. Wooden toe rails. White GRP superstructure with moulded non-slip to deck. Aft self draining cockpit. Cast iron lifting keel with mechanism operated by winch handle on saloon table. Twin transom hung lifting rudders with tiller steering and tiller extension.
In our opinion, this Beneteau First 260 Spirit is an ideal starter boat that is well equipped and presented in very good condition & she will make a great first cruising yacht for trips away . With her lifting keel, generous cockpit space & comfortable accommodation she offers a huge amount for a boat of this size. This particular yacht is fitted with a Beta Sixteen, 16 HP diesel engine that was fitted new in 2013 and has had less than 250 hours use. With her slab reefing mainsail, furling Genoa, Lazy Jacks & Stack Pack, everything is controlled from the cockpit & she is therefore easy to sail. Down below, there is comfortable sleeping for 4, with a forward double cabin, spacious saloon with folding dining table which also has the lifting keel mechanism attached to it, galley with two burner cooker, sink & cool box as well as a good sized, separate heads with toilet & sink. Once back on deck, her generous cockpit has room for all the Crew & this area has been fitted with attractive synthetic teak. Furthermore, the boat has a very attractive blue hull which was professionally re-painted 5 years ago and her decks contrast in bright white, non slip GRP.
With her clever design and efficient layout, this JeanBeneteau First 260 Spirit offers everything you could need for fun sailing around coastal waters & weekend cruising. With her very desirable lifting keel, she can easily take to the ground or get into shallow moorings that other similar boats simply can’t. This particular Beneteau First 260 Spirit is an attractive boat that is a pleasure to step onboard. She is currently lying afloat mid-river in Southampton & viewing can be arranged through Aspire Boat Sales.
