Very efficient fishing machine, this boat only burns 12gph at 19kt cruise
Built on the same hull as the Phoenix 27 weekender, the 27 tournament is a traditional raised-deck express with a clean uncluttered fishing layout. She's built on a beamy deep-V hull with prop pockets and a steep 21 degree of transom dead rise. Her bi-level cockpit eliminates the engine boxes found in the Weekender while providing a much improved helm visibility. Below deck, the cabin accommodations are centered around a convertible dinette forward and a small galley to port. There's standing headroom in the head and the interior is tastefully finished with teak trim and off-white mica laminates. Additional features include a molded bow pulpit, transom door and gate, an in-deck fish box, raw water wash down, lockable rod storage, under cockpit coming and good access to the engines.

Manufacturer Provided Description
Phoenix engineers spent hours cruising and fishing to design a 27-footer for the sportfisherman who requires practicality combined with comfort. The Phoenix 27 Tournament II provides a spacious, stable fishing platform with over 90-square-feet of unobstructed cockpit space and a standard transom door and gate. By raising the forward section of the cockpit sole, the Phoenix Design Team created a large, working cockpit and provided excellent visibility from the helm and companion seat. The command station places the helmsman in the midst of the fishing action and a well-planned console provides an abundance of space for electronics and navigational aids. Styling and function are mated in Phoenix Marine's exclusive custom-molded, heavy-duty, rubrail and anodized aluminum bow rail. Practical also is the standard bow pulpit with roller. Phoenix Marine's attention to designed-in comfort is exemplified by the 27 Tournament Series' innovative forward cabin. A large, functional galley houses a two-burner alcohol stove and 1.5-cubic-foot refrigerator in addition to the standard dish locker and deep, custom fiberglass sink. Within easy reach of the galley, a roomy, U-shaped lounge and dinette easily converts to a large double berth. A spacious head compartment with head and shower is located amidship with easy access to the cabin or the cockpit. A hanging locker and an abundance of storage allows clothes and gear to be stowed neatly until needed. Available in either twin gasoline or diesel power, the Phoenix 27 Tournament Series II represents a reasonably-priced tournament fishing boat suited to offshore sportfishermen.
