After sold Shipyard Riva, Carlo Riva participated in the creation of the brand "Monte Carlo Offshorer".The goal was to develop boats with the same strengths that Riva Super Aquarama had the as construction, power and habitability on board while drivingThe Monte Carlo Offshorer 27 (1970), 30 (1980), 300 and 32 (early 1990) was built in fiberglass and was the first production boat with a "stepped" hull for improved handling and stability. Their engines were mounted with axes and heavy chains of transmission service to transmit torque to port or starboard mounted marine gear. V units mounted in either forward and the axes of the helices in shallow angle, using supports Radice. This drive arrangement helped keep the center of gravity of the boat much lower than in the conventional position of Boxer engines, contributing to efficiency and handling. Cal Connell was responsible for the engineering of this system, and Bob Hobbs hull design developed with the help of Connell.Engines and accessories were mostly Crusader, the same as those used in Rivas of time.
