The Starlight is very user friendly and can be single-handed. Three cabin layout with 2 ensuite heads (one being used as a closet.) One accessible from the main salon. Large galley to port includes two refrigerators and good counter space. Salon is bright and roomy. Lower the salon table and The Starlight sleeps 8. There is ample closets and storage. Three large deck house ports (one opening) let in natural light. Galley hold a propane stove with oven, but a small click stove on top is quicker and easier. Pressure fresh water system with 3 fresh water tanks.
90% of Starlight's electrical systems have been upgraded. Interior components in the electrical control panel have been replaced. Upgrades include adding shore power connections with a charging system. New (2 years) series of 3 deep cycle marine 12 Volt batteries. Networking Garmin GPS and RADAR units were installed in 2015 with a large color monitor screen at the pedestal with extra 3D thumb drive. A 20" color flat screen Digital TV with DVD player was added to the salon. Anchor windlass. iCom ship-to-shore and AM/FM radio and CD player.
Roller furling mainsail, roller furling jib, and bimini repaired and maintained yearly by Eastern Sails. Harding Sails cut a new Mainsail in 2011. Small jib and spinnaker onboard.
Two anchors (new chain.) Large swim deck with boarding ladder. All "Through Hulls" replaced by Fairhaven Shipyard in 2015.
The 27 HP Perkins diesel engine is conveniently located in the salon and is maintained and repaired by the certified mechanics at Fairhaven Shipyard.
The aging teak in the cockpit and swim deck has been replaced (2016) with customized soft rubber SEADEK. Anchor chains and various halyards, lines, and pumps, have been replaced or repaired as needed. The original ceiling has been secured with teak. Some lighting fixtures are new.
